Yeah I have to confirm that there was nothing mentioned about 9/11 in the UK media. I think we have a culture of moving on which is a sad thing in cases like this imo, I noticed how there was little or no mention of 7/7 this year too.

If you can't make a joke about something, you're not taking it seriously.

I know full well what happened to America following 9/11. I simply take it seriously enough that I don't get completely uptight about it.

u will have to excuse us, we tend to get a little uptight when the subject comes to an attack that killed thousands of my fellow americans, including a few people i know
of course you arent going to get uptight, you didnt live through it
you didnt see the panic that over took some idiots, you didnt see the fear in EVERYONE'S eyes wondering what would go down next, and you didnt SEE the country thrown into chaos by one days work

knowing and living through are two very different things marril, you cannot know what it is like unless you live through it
 
Saying to someone, "You can only say about this topic what I want you to say about this topic because I personally don't like some things that are said" shows that you're far too uptight and emotional about it to truly take it seriously. Instead of taking it seriously, you're taking it emotionally.

Am I making a joke at the expense of anyone who died? No. Am I making a joke that glorifies any of the killers? No. Am I showing any disrespect whatsoever to anyone with the joke in question? No, not unless you take offense to elephants. You're just not taking the topic seriously enough to see any of that.
 
You are littering the topic with your uneeded comments on a great tragedy. It's amusing to read your comments on other threads - but there's no room for jokes or anything on this thread.
 
Thank you for at least proving my point about most people here not taking the issue seriously. I shall in the future endeavour to maintain sensibilities, and avoid referencing elephants in the company of those who take exception to those noble and unforgetting animals.

^ excuse me? i havent forgot anything thats related to this. i remember about the soldiers. i still think about them and how sad it is they are fighting right now... oh and psyco i have seen loose change, thats what really gets me mad and sad about 9/11.

and the worst part is you cant even tell people what the video is about, because then they wont watch it
there closed mindedness hurts me, and infuriates me that the real culprit of the 9/11 attacks goes unpunished and unrecognized
 
marrill's joke was harmless and best left and passed by.
Those deciding to spend post after post arguing about it took this topic much more off point that her joke did.
