Were these cards released?

Here are some photos of 2 sheets I got in(hit left):

I was told that these two were sheets used for testing but he did not remember if the cards themselves were ever released. I cannot seem to find these cards but if anyone on here knows information it would be much appreciated :smile:

The only writing on the whole sheet is below each card and the top left corner that I pictured. The back is plain white with those "Cromalin" watermarks.

One of my kids had that electabuzz with the plug head as a sticker on his binder. I might still have it. A few of the others are sticker designs for sure. Hope that helps...

To me they look like TOPPS cards. I could be wrong, however if you look at this

the stance of the Charmander is the same, but not the background. Perhaps they were stickers off of the Topps series.

I found a handful of the Pokemon "poses" but cannot seem to find the exact "cards" with the backgrounds or foil pattern.

That site says that is was a cut-out from a wrapper. I am not too sure if that means it was a card or not but seems to confirm for me that those artworks were released.

These are stickers. I know I had/have some of these. I think these are EU only and made in Belgium.

The Johto Pokemon that are featured seem to be the ones that were often promoted in the handbooks and what not when Johto was first introduced. I remember always being frustrated that those same Pokemon would always be featured on products and not other Johto Pokemon. So I'm not sure what product this was a test for but it was probably something around generation 2's initial release.
