Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Werewolf XIV: Team Rocket's Trap - TOWN WINS

Wow!! A WW game that I'm NOT going to be a part of! There's a first time for everything...

Just for the record, I was up at 5 am with my wife and at that time if I remember right there were only 4-5 slots filled. I saw I was on it so I just went back to sleep.

*EDIT* Not including those you had pre signed up.

To the people who missed sign-ups. Sign-up as a replacment. This game has a lot of new players, some may not want to play it all the way through. There's a good chance you'll get to play as a replacment.

Heck my last game saw more then 6 replacments.

ya, that kind of thing kinda irked me personally. pre signups that were not announced anywhere.

yeah.......

good luck the the players

I apologize for my bad decision. I personally have always disliked the idea of pre-signups, and had no intention of doing any such thing originally. By the time I was able to post the thread, it seemed that a number of people had already assumed that there would be pre-signups, and I felt that it would also be unfair to them to not put them on the list if they might assume that they were signed up.

I do not see any good way to "undo" this now. I suppose I could remove the names of everyone who signed up in advance, but I know that at least some of them would have signed up normally otherwise, and it would be somewhat pointless either way.

So, I would ask for your opinions. Do you want me to continue the game with the current player list, restart sign ups another time, or cancel the game and allow Cardz to choose a different mod for Werewolf XIV?

cancel the game and allow Cardz to choose a different mod for Werewolf XIV?

That seems just a little bit drastic.

It's a weird decision for me to vote on because odds are I will make it in no matter what is decided, but I did not intend or want to assume that there would be pre-signups. In fact, when I saw the thread last night, I posted "Sign me up!" immediately and then QUICKLY edited my post once I realized you had already put me on the list!

Sorry for being part of the problem; I asked for a pre-signup on the belief that mods do what they want, and there's no harm in trying.

Well, I'm in apparently. Ask the ones who haven't made it in. We can only assume that everyone whose already made it in to the game will want to go on. Either way though, I agree that just replacing you is a bit unnecessary. Maybe just postpone the signups a little bit. Wipe the list, and give a specific time when sign ups will be accepted. Or better yet, at an undisclosed time, post in the topic that sign ups are open, so everyone has a fair chance. (that way, people who can't be around for a specific time will have an equal opportunity)

Perhaps that would be a wise idea. Wipe the sign-ups clean, however make it clear when they will re-open and make it clear in advance how many players you will have. I noticed you went from 24 to 28 to 32. Don't let the game get too big that it becomes a burden of the original plot and theme.

If I was in this situation as a game mod I would do the following:

Erase and close sign-ups until Friday and open them some time around 2-6 PM. Then at that time open them again and let people sign up.

-This allows players who have school to get out of school (which for Middle to High should be roughly around 230-430.)
-It allows many players who may work to get off work
-It gives a day and a half of notice to all members.

For those who may lose power due to the blizzard, I hate to say it, but if it happens it happens and you'll just have to try and make the next game.

The other option is to just play the game with the players on your lists and people who missed the list missed it. It sucks, but sometimes poop happens.

The decision is yours. I would not entrust it to the players as anyone who is in will want to stay in, and anyone who is out will want you to re-do it.

It really makes no difference to me. I would have made sign ups either way and would again if you decide to restart. I just ask that if you do choose to redo sign ups that you completely redo sign up, not just take the first 5 off and replace them. At least 3 of the first five would have made sign ups as they were online at the time you posted the topic.

but let's also put this in perspective. everyone who was allowed to sign up early did so mere minutes before this thread was posted meaning most if not all 5 would have been signed up anyhow.

I don't mind what you do. There's no reason to cancel the game and let someone else mod, either. I agree with Azure Kite and Absoltrainer.

We were told when sign ups would be. Lucario said it would be feb 2nd. It ended up being late that night. I checked when I went to sleep, and when I woke up and got in fine. If we do it again, I'll do the same. I know I'll have some grapes if I don't get in next time though.

Honestly, I have been waiting to play Werewolf for quite some time now, and although I admit a re-sign-up might be necessary, it means that I might not get to play. It is quite clear that this game has a lot of popularity, so if you do re-sign-ups, people who already signed up like myself might not get a chance to play. I was going away all day yesterday. I was on Tuesday, but the game hadn't been posted when I was on. I have a very busy schedule and I find it a little irritating that I'll have to try and catch this at another date/time.

Of course, at first I was just a replacement, so the fact that I'm in now is more than I could have hoped for. If you do decide to start a re-sign-up process, I think the least you could do for us is announce the date and time of the new sign-ups, so I can at least try to make it.

I would rather just start the game myself, but I realize a lot of vets are missing and as such, the quality of the game may suffer for that.

Basically, I'm kind of cool no matter what you decide to do (providing you will post the date so I can remember to log in on that day).

Sorry for the mini-rant, I like many other people just wanted to play some Werewolf.

However it is done some people are going to be disappointed.

It's not possible to do sign ups at a time to suit everyone due to school/work/time zones/holidays/power cuts.

It is what it is.

I agree with waynegg in the sense that ALL the people who posted Pre-signups would have got in because they posted not even 10 minutes before the thread went up.
I say just leave it as it is.
