Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Werewolf XIV: Team Rocket's Trap - TOWN WINS

I apologize I haven't reared my head here either this game day. Been having some personal difficulties and haven't really felt like posting, but I have read everything. I'll try to be more into the game in coming days, if I survive that long.

Guys I will say this, watch the votes. I think voting for someone to get their attention is questionable anyway, but last game day Kayle had enough votes for a lynch before we even knew, and people were still going. It's taking less and less votes for a kill, so let's be careful.

^ I agree. However, Headsrcool has posted ONCE the whole game. Twice if you count his sign me up post. He's obviously still in the game, and following along since he hasn't been replaced yet. I think it's high time to weed out those who are trying to slip under the radar by not posting. Heck, if he had 5 posts, I would probably not care. But 1? Really?

Hmm I can see your point DP...
VOTE:He.............

Nope

There's something odd going on here. Why is the whole town STILL so eager to bandwagon just when someone makes an allegation with a bit of authority.

I agree, now is the time to weed out inactives, but I don't think we should do it by lynching.

PikaMaster, you've certainly been giving an interesting power. I think the best way for the town to play at the moment would be for you to target those players we are unsure of, and aren't likely to hear much from (ie, the more inactive player). You say you have a 25% chance of realizing if a person is town and not killing. Well that's a 1/4 that we discover an inactive is a townie, one less person we have to worry about.
Meanwhile while PikaM is weeding out those who aren't helping the town, we can focus on those players being actively suspicious. For this reason I'm holding my vote for SG.

In response to SG, it is not simply your low post count that has led me to believe this. If it was I'd leave you for PikaM to deal with. You're getting the special treatment until I'm certain your not a wolf :) And that whole "I've never had anything new to say" doesn't cut it with me. Often small details and personal opinions are the best help.

While I'm here, I'm sure PikaM wants me to "fess up" about my alignment. Well, simple as this, I've helped the town, I'm helping the town now. I'm not a wolf, so I have nothing to hide and no reason to spew of heaps of random facts in my defense to cover something up. Is there really that much else I need to say?

Wow... just read Pikamaster's post. I don't know if any of you noticed this, but... there are only two Werewolves left in the game. Pikamaster can kill two people. That means Pikamaster could win the game for us [/b]tonight[/b]. This is certainly a very exciting development. I would seriously advise posting if you haven't by now. I think it's safe to assume you should post like your life depends on it. Because in a way, it kind of does.

Ok, big post time. Bear with me if there are some things that I missed, it's late and I want to get this out tonight.

Yes, I've said this before, I am Red. I'm town aligned, and I think a full-fledged role reveal will work best for the town here.

I brought four Pokemon with me, and now have a fifth. I came here with Pika, Poli, Vee and Aero. I got to use each of them once, and have. Vee let me see that DP is town aligned, Poli let me kill Diaz. Pika and Aero were both used for no effect.

Now, since enough of the Rockets, including Giovanni, which was a big thing, were killed before the deadline, which was tomorrow night, I have access to a fifth Pokemon. Mewtwo. I now get to target and kill two people a night, with a 25% chance of not killing and finding their role if they aren't Rockets and a 25% chance of doing nothing.

I will be systematically weeding through all people I find suspicious every night. Why am I telling you this? So you can come and fess up if you aren't a wolf so I don't target you. That's right, step right up to not be killed.

It's way too late for me to say more, I'm keeping a certain jelly-filled sea-creature awake. I'll elaborate more tomorrow, if needed. Hope everyone sleeps well this game night~ >:D

What exactly is this post meant to accomplish? Telling the wolves that you now have the ability to kill two players at once, and all they have to do is claim to be not wolves to be exempt, atleast momentarily, from speculation? What exactly does "fess up if you aren't a wolf so I don't target you" even mean? I know I am not a wolf. I am claiming it right now in front of the whole town. This doesnt, and shouldnt, prevent me from being speculated against, just as no one else should be free from suspicion.

This sounds a lot like a bluff, or as a cover up for an indy role, to me. I strongly believe that this game has something to do with mewtwo escaping from team rocket (the intro to the story was just a little too similar to the intro the the first pokemon movie for it to be ignored). If Mewtwo had teamed up with an ally(according to your role-reveal, you) I think that would be a pretty big deal, and, as strong as you claim its powers are, it seems to me like Mewtwo's abilities would be more in the "identify the Rockets" area than in the "Probably kill Townies" department. All of this information seems like something that would be in the Morning updates, ala Absoltrainer's infamous Arceus night.

Also, did we ever find out about Azure Kite's revival? Can't remember, and 47 pages is a lot to look through.

No, I never said that. I want people to fess up so I have a better idea of who to target or not. Claiming that you aren't a wolf isn't going to exempt you from it.

Never said that you are exempt, from me or the town. I'm just gathering info to make a good shot tonight.

If you had read Pokemon Adventures, and I'll assume that you didn't, you would know. In the Firered/Leafgreen arc, Mewtwo teamed up with Red to defeat Giovanni. I'm assuming that this is where the basis for this aspect of my role came from.

Mewtwo was never about mind reading, he was always (in the Manga and the movie) about offensive power, no? In the Manga, there are three humans he chooses to communicate telepathically with: Red, Yellow and Blaine. His attacks comprise of offensive moves, with Recover and Barrier being the only defensive ones. Again, I can only assume that this is from the Manga.

And AT has his own style, not one that any of the other mods I've seen share.

Also, did we ever find out about Azure Kite's revival? Can't remember, and 47 pages is a lot to look through.

Nope, we never did. I have a theory about this, but if my theory is correct, it's best for the person to remain anonymous.

Well SG I agree with your logic except for the whole "Mewtwo would want to find the rocket's not blast townies"

If it's based on the manga, which I'm certain it is, Mewtwo would be out to get Team Rocket, yet he definitely wouldn't mind taking out a few innocents along the way. Whoever heard of a sympathetic Mewtwo....

PikaMaster's done a good job of addressing all the questions your post raised, so I'm going to leave it at that, my vote holds.

I'm not convinced that shinygyara is suspicious. I mean, let's be perfectly honest, he is guilty of hiding away for most of the game, but he's back now (I would hope for good, lest you wish to go through this whole ordeal a second time) and he's contribution excellent discussion points (even if some of them are slightly off-base, with the whole Mewtwo thing). I cannot be sure that he is a townie, but then again, I do not think I am sure that he is a wolf, either!

We have two criminals right now who committed the same crime, only the other has not even attempted to defend himself for it. We voted for shinygyara to make him come forward, and he did. But there is still one who hasn't. And that person is...

Reason: For STILL not explaining your inactivity.

I think Headsrcool is becoming more suspicious. His last activity was just yesterday. He is still in the game so he obviously still cares enough to send PMs to LEX saying so. He hasn't even voted ONCE this game.

Bandwagon time. Hoping he explains himself.

Bandwagoning again VB?

Seems you've forgotten my earlier rant about player's who contribute to the game by doing something completely useless. I said I'd be watching.

Hope I didn't miss it, sign me up

From looking at previous werewolf games, it seems that you've been extrememly eager to get in and play, but were never able to. Now, not only have you been given a position and role, you have had it since Day 1!

Now, as your signature states, you placed 1st in worlds and nats of '05 and 4th in both nats of '04 and worlds of '08. All impressive feats that give testament to your skill in strategy and your involvement in pokemon.

My Question: Why would someone so enthused to play werewolf and so gifted at strategy, stay completely silent through the entirity of their first werewolf game?

^ You need to bold that for it to do anything.

I know lol. Kind of makes the post seem less decissive. I couldn't edit though

Still don't think voting out an inactive is the best idea. It's unlikely to stimulate any sort of discussion

Voting for and voting out aren't the same thing. Just because I voted for headsrcool doesn't mean I want him out. If there was no pressure put on him he could just sit back and do nothing all game. Look at Gdos. He probably wouldn't have spoke much if he didn't get a few votes earlier today.

The day was proceeding as usual, when headsrcool started to panic at the number of votes for him. He then collapsed, unable to breathe. The others did nothing, too surprised to act, until someone finally walked forward to see what had happened to him.

"He's... dead?" they exclaimed, confused.

"It was going to happen anyway. Just sped things up a bit, that's all. Maybe now we can at least get some proper rest before we die," one of the others pointed out. The rest of the group nodded their agreement, before leaving.

headsrcool has been modkilled! He was:

If you are lynched, a random person who voted for you during that day will also be killed.
