A Hallowe'en Tourney for the Team Rocket Returns Pre-Release!

Sunday, October 31, 2004

Dragon's Lair, 683 Westfield St, West Springfield MA

Registration begins at Noon, Play to start @ 1 PM.

Entry Fee is $20.00

Prizes follow the new prize structure, but I'll see what else I can come up with. Sorry, but I don't have a big store behind me like other PTOs do!

I should have my website updated by the weekend.

hope you ahev a big turnot for yyour halloween tournmant. Unfortunily for me i wont be there this time to join in the fun of the RR prerelase. I hope to be there for the next one
 
I would like to go but I can't =/ It's a little out of the way of my mom's take me to card tournies distance
 
I added the actual date--it is the 31st! Pokemon in the afternoon, trick-or-treating in the evening!

What more could you want?

Beth - I got the nod to go. ;-) As long as the kids are back before 5pm for trick-or-treat. Do you think it will end by 4?

I think so--I haven't heard from many people, so I think it will be a small tourney.

well beth, im sorry, but it looks like im not gonna make it. maybe if u had the prize support TJs has it would be worth my $20, but without it I think I will have to pass :/

That's too bad, Nick--we'll miss you. I'd love to be able to provide prize support like that as well. But I'm running these tourneys out of my own pocket, and barely breaking even, and now I don't even get the compensation of judge support (well, one box--ISC).

Everyone needs to choose what's important for themselves.

Hye beth good news. i got the change of plans so ill be heading down with johhnyblaze for this awesome event. It will be a blast to attend. Too bad Nick C wont be there but hey even a small tournament is a good one because the new cards early is never a bad thing :) Plus id love to see the trophy they are giving to the winner,fun little addition to any tournament. Beth i know many TO's cant afford the extra support when they pay for all the cards nintendo sends and its ok. To have the 10 packs auto and a chance at a few more plus a neat trophy from nintendo is preety sweet. See ya sunday :)

Glad to see you can make it! I don't know where you heard about trophies, tho. What came in the shipment were nice, enameled pins for each of the age divisions.

I can't wait until I get my hands on the new set tommrow! I didn't read read any spoilers yet, because I want to keep myself surprised this time. I might even wear an old Haloween Costume if I can find one... :p
 
Rats. There's a 95% chance we won't be there. Actually it's 100% my wife and 2 youngest will not be there.

The reason? It's Halloween. Young ones want to Trick or Treating and that's hard to do with a 2 hour drive. Wife will take them and wants to get an early start.

Of course if they go out, someone has to stay home and give out candy. And i don't think they'd be too pleased with me if i took off and let Brian give out the candy.

Hopefully next time (or if that 5% chance pulls through). Hoping they don't pick a holiday again for the next one.
