Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What is the big deal about Luxray GL Lv.X and what is the deck this card goes with?

This best part of this whole Luxray usage is when he was first scanned, people said, "Can you say Power Spray? I think I am going to pass on this one...plus his attack is meh" Now all of those same amateurs are net decking raybees lists...just makes me laugh

Whats not to like about a Gust of Wind w/ legs? Its crazy good and flash impact makes it more ridic thx to the cheap kill factor

In an SP mirror, power spray often did stop the power. That being said, it still was a NASTY attacker.

This is absolutely true, and here is the proof . . .

a big problem I have found in just doing some prelim. testing is that power sprays ruin the gust on luxray gl lv x. and other than that, toxicroak is just as fast but with a better body.

We all get cards wrong from time to time. I know I do. There's no need to try and big yourself up by sneering at people for it.

Yall are forgetting about metagross LA though :(.. His is once every turn and the only thing though is that it is flippy but you hear people wanting to play pokemon reversal. That makes no sense. Just play a 1-1 metagross line if your going to do that. Luxray is nice though because there is no flippy.

There are more pros to Luxray though than there are to Metagross. Luxray can drop down after a turn of waiting but can be quickly picked up so that it can re-use its power, whereas Metagross can use its power once per turn but you dont always flip heads. Also, if Luxray were dragged up to teh active via warp point, inviting trap, luring flame ect it can always level up and retreat, attach one energy and retreat, poketurn out or even Champions Room out for free. Metagross has a huge problem because of its massive retreat cost it needs to be warp pointed or warp energy-ed out. I think teh biggest con that Luxray has though is that it can be sniped by teh most popular cards in teh format from teh bench (ex. Garchomp and Palkia SPs) because having 80 HP is dangerous in teh format. Metagross can survive 1 hit from those but its hard to shake that damage anyway. Not sure how much of a pro you consider that. And I would like to add that you would have to run at LEAST 3 cards to run Metagross, Candy or Metang, vs only running 2 to play Luxray GL LvX.
