Here is just a little fun non-competitive game that's also informative to pass the time on the gym while I wait for the prerelease raichu to return to me, the following rules are very simple to follow;

1. It must be Pokemon card/s that have sold, privately or publicly (please keep the sales confidential if you do not have permission from the seller/vendor and buyer and if you do not want exact price disclosure then round, personal example 'The 2008 No. 1 Trainer sold for $6,200', if you want to not be that precise then round it so it'll be $6,000.

2. You may comment on the price of another if you can submit one your self.

3. please wait 5 posts before adding another reply with price.

4. keep it as realistic and serious as possible.

5. do not disagree/post with put-downs/insults; so instead of saying 'Some moron bought a prerelease raichu for $10,500.' Please say something like 'Prerelease Raichu was bought for $10,500 and though I may find that to be a bit much, that's my opinion.'

To Begin: The most expensive card I have heard of selling was a PSA-8 Pikachu Illustrator over $20,000 from a highly respectable seller, who told me over the phone.

WOW. That to me is insane. And from that you can see I don't travel in high circles. But I did once see a Charizard Ex at the price of $200. And to me that seems like an inordinant price for ink-and-paper.

The error base set Ninetales without the 80 damage printed go for over $300 I think.

I've seen Worlds deck Lugia EX going for 100+. That's stupidity.

I saw a Mew* from THIS YEAR'S Worlds deck on eBay for 22 dollars, and someone actually bidded for it. It's stuff like that that sickens me, when people think they are getting a good deal for an actual card.

Now that I think about it though, at this point if you are a player, buying a WC Lugia Ex would be pretty much the same as the real deal.

'cept the real one is all shiny and pretty.

The card I sold for the most was a Staff Cards from Worlds 08. I sold it for over 250. I was expecting to get about 150 and got so much more than I was expecting. The other other cards that I have sold that have come close are Charizard Ex (again over 200), Championship Arena (around 200), and RH TVR DR (200).

I have a few cards that are worth more than 200, like SC Deoxys, but for most of them, I hold on to them until I get a buyer who wants it.

At worlds I sold Battle Frontiers to Japanese players, who did not have them, for 45 a peice, foils for 50, and i made like $600 :<0

Whoa! $250 for an 08 staff card? I have a staff card from '06 that is the only PSA-10 in the world.
I've heard very recently from a reliable source that years back one of the biggest collectors of Pokemon cards had sold a PR-Raichu for $10,000; this former Pokemon card collector also (if this source is correct) had the entire Trophy card set of SSB!

I saw on pokegym a PR raichu sell for 10,500!!

Beat that will-iam!

He was the one who bought it LOLOL.

Anyways, most expensive cards I've sold is the Worlds Champ 2007 Winner card for around $3000 i think (It's a while ago, so I can't look the exact price up on My eBay =/...).

Didn't you get a PayPal payment? If so, that would show the amount.
