OK! The rules are:
NO ARGUING! especially: Metagross ex and Shadowoftyranitar!
that's it!

Tell me what you think! I think it is Starcraft: Brood War for the PC! (i know it's old, but its still fun!)
Also: Dragon Ball Final Bout and LOTR: The Two Towers

Also state your opinions about your least favorite game!

:fighting: NO FIGHTING! :fighting:

OKAY LETS TRY OUR BEST TO NOT GET THIS TOPIC LOCKED SO OTHERS CAN HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO STATE THEIR OPINIONS!

Well, taking into account that hopefully abraham and ShadowofTyranitar wont fight..I would have to say that Pokemon is my all time favorite game, but VERY close behind are Kingdom Hearts, Super Smash Brothers Melee, and the Final Fantasy games... My two cents ^_-

Grand Theft Auto III / Vice City (It probably isn't THE best game, but its certainly one of them)
GTA gave freedom to do almost anything you wanted to do, not only having some pretty good music.

And I'm going with johnznothere, Starcraft is one of the most strategic games out there.

Gotta give reasons people!! This is supposed to be a discussion, not a poll. We don't care WHAT your favorite game is, we want to know WHY. Any posts beyond this point that don't give good reasons are considered a waste of bandwidth and will be deleted without mercy.

Thanks for understanding,
- CHRISBO, Administrator

P.S. I'm kinda' partial to the old Ker-Plunk myself. You know, the one where you load the tube with marbles and pull out sticks until the marbles fall. There's nothing like the sound of glass marbles crashing against cheap plastic. (j/k) :p

Was that for super or regular Nintendo, Chrisbo?

There is no one best game, as far as I'm concered. I loved Pokemon Puzzle League, but it did nasty things to my mind. Super Mario World was one of my favorites, but it had downfalls too. It all depends on your mood.

Hard to say which is the "Best", when there are so many different types, and people have varying opinions. I think they're fairly uncomparable.

Personally, I love Kingdom Hearts. (And waiting 14 months for Kingdom Hearts 2 is very painful for the rabid fans like me) RPG, Stats, REAL TIME battle, gotta love some of the advances it made.

"Oh look. A very large comet'o'DOOM is flying quickly at my head. Perhaps I should move."

My all time favorite would be either "Contra" on the old NES because both of us could play at the same time (instead of my sitting there watching my brother play, it's finally my turn and 2 minutes later it's his again) and the Strafe gun was just great, or "Gauntlet" again because it was a blast teaming up with my brother and slaying all those creatures.

Oh Solitaire is also a great game.

Hmmm... to hard to narow it down, especialy since there are so many Genre.

Platform/Action:
NES: Super Mario Bros. 3... That game was one of the longest and really pushed the NES hardware to its limits. Besides, its hard to keep the Mastashoid down.

SNES: Yoshi's Island... That game finally put Yoshi to full blown stardom. It was the most enjoyable, and most beutifull games. Not to mention that its freally fun to swallow and poop out you enemies as eggs. :D

N64: Conker's Bad Fur Day... Who knew that a game Developed by Rare that first started as a normal , so cute game you could barf game into such an enjoyable, major motion picture spoofing, foul mouth, dung rolling, discusting, so bloody game you could barf game. :D

GCN: Hmm... at the Moment... Super Mario Sunshine... its a true to the heart Mario Game, 'nuff said.

RPG
SNES: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars... it was a well though through game that perfectly put Mario and the Mashroom Kingdom in the the RPG world.

GB/GBA: Pokémon... 'nuff said

Adventure:
SNES: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past... the only Zelda game for the SNES. It Rocked!

N64: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time... Can there possibly be a better Adventure game!? This game was so awsome, all adventure games that followed were compeared to it and still don't come close.

GCN It a Tied... The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Metroid Prime... StarFox Adventures was good, but not good enough to go on my favorites list. Wind Waker was awsome. Not only did it have a good storyline, but I think the new Cel-shading technique fit in perfectly with the series. That how a Zelda game should have always lookd like. And Metroid Prime!!! The Graphics were outstanding, The Storyline was compeling, The controls were tight and well layed out, and the score pulled in.

Racing:
The F-Zero and Mario Kart Series. F-Zero gave birth to the whole futuristic, techno racing genre and Mario Kart gave birth to true multiplayer fun.

My very FAVORITE game that I have ever played is The Simpsons Road Rage for Playstation 2. I would say, however, that my least favorite is Turok: Rage Wars for GBC. Note to this game's creators: You can make a good game without making it extremely hard, you know!

the best game or games are either warcraft games or diablo games for pc. The reason for my judgement i s that i love rpgs and i just get more out of these games such as building armies or myself. I also think that booulders gate is a terrific game

Big Baby Sweets: Both games in the Diablo series are going downhill slowly, but the warcraft games are pretty darn good.

very simmilar to Canadian Bacon, i organised my favorite games by platform.
NES - Adventures of Link (side-scroller zelda... cwazzy.)
SNES - Yoshi's island (ememememmememmererrrr.... *mario in a bubble*)
N64 - Mario Party 3 (*angry fustration* *no more n64*)
GC - Legend of Zelda : The Wind Waker (easily my favorite console game of all time.
PS1 - Metal Gear Solid (where'd snake go?!)
PS2 - Metal Gear Solid 2 (there he is!)
XBOX - None, no X-Box game really stood out for me, fanboyism not intended.
PC - Might and Magic: World of Xeen (this game is REALLY big, Dungeon Keeper is a close second; to the guy who said no one has heard of this game i guess i just proved you wrong.)
GENESIS - Sonic The Hedgehog (Level 5 is a pain)
SMS (If you don't know what this means just ask) - Shining Blade (Tactics RPG at its very best)
SATURN - Knights (Überflight.)
DREAMCAST - Sonic Adventure (Greatest. Platformer. EVER!)
ARCADE - Pac-man (dundundundundundundundundundundundundundun... I played this game when i was seven.)

My favorite game of all time is...
Castlevannia: Aria Of Sorrow for GBA!
Noticed that platfrom was missing? :)

IMO, I think one of the best games has to be the Megaman X series. Not only is Megaman one of the oldest frachises, but Megaman X also came out with 2 other stories based on the MMX story. Those were called Megaman Xtreme 1&2(GBC) and Megaman Zero 1&2(GBA). Obviously (if you look at my name close enough), Zero is one my role models. Im still expecting Megaman X4-X6 to be re-released

What do you mean "Re-released"? Do you mean released on the PS2? There should still be plenty of copies out there, and since PS games can be played on the PS2...

Pokemon is great but it gets long at times. Still is a great game.
One of the greatest games has to be Super Mario 64. Great worlds, Great action, graphics (Ok not so good compared to now but they are still sweet), Strategy but not so much strategy that you have to think a lot and plan out your moves so far in advance like you sometimes do in Pokemon/Zelda games. All it was missing was Luigi. Other N64 favorites include Mario Kart 64, Yoshi's Story(If only it was longer.), Star Fox 64, SSB, Ken Griffey Jr's Slugfest, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the Mario Party series and so many more.
My favorite Gamecube game thus far is probably Wind Waker. SSBM and Super Mario Sunshine are up there as well.
Wind Waker has great game play and incredible graphics. Sunshine is very good too as I loved many of its tasks and worlds. I kind've wish there were a few more worlds and more diverse worlds on Sunshine like they were on Super Mario 64. Both great games. SSBM was my favorite easy for a long time but now it gets boring unless I play someone else. I also like Luigi's Mansion which was the first game to really show what the Gamecube could do.
So N64: Super Mario 64
Gamecube: Wind Waker followed by Sunshine
GB: Pokemon
The Best computer game, 2nd best GB game, and greatest game I have played that was out before my birthday is
TETRIS
You cannot beat Tetris, mind-boggling, quick, intense and Great Music. Thank goodness they made the GBC version.
