What might Win

I think the top four decks will be Lady Gaga (I hate calling it LuxChomp XD), Jumpluff, a Gengar varient, and some secret rogue deck no one is expecting.

luxape will win 2nd year in a row. Shuts down kingdra prime, steelix, jumpluff, almost ohko's mirror, etc.

LOL

LuxApe w/ ER Legend is beast...
But I don't think many will play that so my vote goes for
LuxChomp w/ ER Tech
I'd love to see Torterra win however ;)

After some more playing and testing, my new prediction is that Garchomp SV (the evolution version) will do well.

Speed Impact is overly powerful for the lower cost. And the negative side effect of that attack is not bothered by Kingdra, Jumpluff, or Gyarados.

Garchomp can 1hko Jumpluff, Gyarados, and Kingdra as well as almost all SP pokemon.

DO NOT TELL ME ITS TOO SLOW.

I have a very consistant list and T1 Guard Claw with Belt is possible about 85% of the time.

Basically, any deck that can handle jumpluff will do well.

Garchomp SV dominates. I know, this deck has been mentioned only like 3 times in this article, but it smashes. It eats pluff like no other deck out there, Gdos is meat (Ditto gives it a better chance), LuxChomp better have sprays the first 2 turns or its game, a loaded donphan could be an issue but you'll be at least 2 prizes up at that point, same as charizard, Dialga is fine with the right tech (Ambipom G) to tail code special metals to something like azelf or a claydol. Azelf X and DP Dusknoir could be an issue from Plox, but a simple Unown G saves lives. Call it Rogue if you want, but this is the deck to compete with. This will be your "Rogue" winner.

Saw a few Garchomp SV at UK Nats in Masters. Don't think any of them top cut.

It's a decent deck, but saying it dominates is ridiculous. It's iffy for the same reason Flygon is iffy . . . Chomp C destroys it. and Pluff outspeeds it.

Never came against a pluff I didn't win. Its the best matchup for Chomp. And the Chomp C is a one hit wonder. If there is a second Chomp Sv on your own side or the starts of one, the sp is no issue at all. Attach a belt and guard claw, they can't even K.O. you with Lucario out and you still can one shot them. Its all about the sprays in that deck. Once your set, they can play all the garchomp c's they want.

Cursgar or Plox will be the only issue. :(

As much as I love Chomp SV, it gets murdered by a good cursegar, and it doestn fair that wel against a good luxchomp player. Two auto deaths that wont win you a tournament.

I predict either jumpluff or luxape or luxchomp will take it. They are the speediest and most consistent decks out there.

Predicting the winner of this nationals event should be considered borderline unpredictable. While the two best decks in format (Luxchomp and Jumpluff/Luxray) are extremely solid, they are in no way the powerhouse decks that Plox was in the '07-08 season. Both of them have some pretty rocky matchups against non Tier 1 matches (Sablelock and Kingdra to be specific) and I can't even say Jumpluff is gonna win just because while it is one of the most solid and consistent lists I've ever seen, the deck tends to self-destruct on itself from time to time, which could be disastrous in top cut.

Jumpluff will top cut. No question. Its a great deck, its powerful, its fast, and it has very little troubles of itw own. But can a deck that has its own flaws hold its own against Sablelock/Luxchomp/Kingdra/Insert Rogue here off a meh start? Jumpluff can be donked. Jumpluff can be slowed down massively by Judge/Cyrus I/etc.

You'll beat the random decks, no question. But I can't say its gonna win.

My bet's on Luxchomp or rogue. But theres way too many threats out there for a guaranteed victor.

I actually after some serious thought, think either Luxchomp or rogue will take it. Sablelock and Luxpluff will TC sure, but Luxchomp is the best and always will b4e.

Judge before Claydol is different than Judge after Claydol. Good Luxpluff players don't Judge before they've gotten at least one Claydol out. Scratch that. Good players don't Judge before they've gotten at least one Claydol out.

I think people are throwing the word "autowin" around to much. IMO with such high donk factors and wide variety of techs I don't think anything auto wins anything.
