I never knew pokemon had such an impact in your life Jimmy.

It's sad to see you go away from the playing part of the game, since after coming back from 7 years of not playing and finally finding out where your shop is(which is the main reason for me coming back into the game) i havent played a serious game with you yet.

the only good games i remember playing against you were the team battles you mr lucas other moe and i had back in orland mall in the cafeteria even when WotC had closed for the day/permanently. and we ordered pizza that day. i wont forget. b/c it was also the last day i remember from WotC...

other than that its good to know you'll still be involved and i love your shop. its prolly the highlight of me and my brother's weekend. i guess i'll be seeing you more and more often as i too will like this to be a big part of me and my bro's life like it used to in mine back in those days.

Jimmy,

Like everyone else has said, it was an awesome post.

But it's not a goodbye. You're just evolving (no pun intended) your role to something that suits you more. It sounds like your store is doing well - it's awesome that you're realising your goals. You're still going to be involved in Pokémon

Keep pushing onwards and upwards

Look, if I would've known than Donking you at Nats would cause you to just GIVE UP THE GAME altogether, I would've just scooped :p

just kidding man...

Hey, it was SO GREAT to finally meet and play you this year. I'm glad we met.

I hope you're still at the big events serving as a judge or some other volunteer capacity just so we can get a few laughs from that jovial personality of yours.

Best of luck in the Business world !

No, No, NO.

It was his losing to a random PTO in Tennessee that got him to give up the game!

We know it! We do. XOXOXO Jimmy.

Jimmy, you have done more for me than you may ever know. You've shown me some of the ins and outs of deckbuilding and strategies through your impecable building ability, you've shown me tricks when playing, and even how to build top-tier decks from scratch. More importantly, you've shown me how to be one of the fiercest competitors, yet coolest people I've ever met. Your Legendary name in this game will live on, and hopefully those of us who got to know you will try to keep your innovative playing style and rogue decks alive. I wish you the best of luck with whatever you end up doing in life, man.

Dude I know im really late but whatever. I owe you a ton man. Arithmetic and Eeveelutions/cress were both amazing decks that rewarded skill, it allowed to me to blame my losses on myself which was what i was really looking for. I think im gonna be a little lost without your deck making skills. To be honest your decks were always too smart to change the format but you are definetly going down as the best.

On a sidenote you can run a hell of a tournament. You really cater to the competitive players needs by going for speed and not style in a tournament which I greatly appreciate. Im certainly buying into you as a PTO.

A couple years ago my kid tells me she always looses when playing Pokemon with the nieghbor kid. So I jump on the internet to learn the game and teach her. Now that she knew the rules and easily beat the neighbor kid, I had to bring her to where other players were. We showed up at Jimmy's shop for a pre-release and had a blast. On the way home she couldn't stop talking about the fact that none of the other kids thought she was wierd or treated her differently. She also thought Jimmy was pretty cool and begged me to take her back for league. Being a kid with adhd, she has struggled to fit in with other kids and not annoy the adults. That one experience at Jimmy's shop gave her a boost of self confidence that has helped her in all subjects. Even today, she'll ask me my opinion of a card or an attack, and end our conversation with "she's gonna ask Jimmy next time she's see him". So I've got to say to Jimmy, you've impacted many more people than just your kids. And I appreciate the positive impression you've left on mine.
