Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What will win Regionals and WHY?

LostGar will likely do better. People have had more time to test and rebuild finding other combos. And there are definitely better ways to run it.

I think Luxchomp will win regionals. It's a solid play in pretty much any metagame, and it has the ability to win any matchup. I know there are decks that can beat it, but it can stand up to pretty much anything.

I like to think that Professor Araragi (the new prof oak but supporter style) will open up new speeds for some decks (jirachi and sableye engines).
Obviously Sp decks are gonna be first on almost everyones list, but I don't want to lock in my vote just yet.

Lostgar is going down the toilet (as predicted) because it flat out isn't good.

It hasn't done good most of teh season...

keep in mind that prof juniper (the new oak supporter) cant be used at regionals because it technically hasnt been released yet.

i'd have to say magnerock is going to be a really solid play for any regionals. great drawpower, ohko's every turn, etc...

This. I swear, all of it's matchups are favorable. Luxchomp is great with Ebelt, it rips thru Dialgachomp, Sunyshore 4 Machamp, Skuntank for Vilegar, Gyarados will be easy if they dont have Mesprit. The only bad/even matchup is Chenlock and maybe Sablelock. I've beaten Blaziken tons of times though. Not too hard if you time your Warp NRG, Palmer's, and Unown Q.

^Here in MN, a Junior won a city with a fire deck. I'm sure the same decks as the other divisions will be in Juniors, but with worse builds, not too many underplayed-good decks such as gigas, and the random n00b.dek

@Time for Pain:
Ohp! there i go again getting ahead of myself. Well I still haven't made an official vote yet! XD

Well, it certainly wasn't BDIF "Lostgar, counter, or lose" like people expected it. I guess it IS better than I said in that post, so yeah.

Still, not as good, and I've tested against it a bit, don't think it's that great.

Just checked, but two states wins? I mean, Dos, a deck that most people just kinda threw aside, won one more, and Vilegar went better.

Anyone who playtested it, and the appropriate counter deck didn't expect it to be BDIF. It was an extremely risky play (especially Week 1), as everyone was running counters (Weavile G, Absol G) in their SP decks. That in itself turned away a lot of players from the deck. It is a good deck in swiss, but difficult to play in top cut (you need to watch for and call stalls).
