What would you like to see as a League Promo

Next season theme will be like

"Return to Johno" with the Gym leaders.

03-04: Hoenn Gym Leaders (Ruby Sapphire)
04-05: Sevii Island (Firered Leafgreen)
05-06: Battle Frontier Brains (Emerald)
06-07: Kanto Gym Leaders (Firered Leafgreen)
07-08: Sinnoh Gym Leaders (Diamond Pearl)
08-09: Energy types
09-10: Battle Frontier Brains (Platinum)
10-11: Johto Gym Leaders (Heartgold Soulsilver)
11-12: Isshu Gym Leaders (Black White)

Thoughts?
 
Each Season will have 1 Trainer Card, and one Shuckle reprint. That accounts for 7 seasons. For the 8th, they will make a Shuckle LvX.

They could put Call Energy in the next Player Rewards like they did with Upper.
 
I think that if they continue with this system (which they probably will), they will stick with "one good card, one bad card" kinda thing.

So that would leave 8 good cards which we'll get.
For these I doubt we will get Lv X's, since if they want to reprint those, they'll be done in tins, so my guesses/hopes are:

Luxray GL
Crobat G
Spiritomb
Call Energy
Rare Candy
Azelf
Pokemon Collector
Pokemon Communication

And then 8 random unplayables to go with them (which, as a collector, I don't mind).
 
I'd like to see them do one "highly desirable" card like what they did this year, but for the other card (if they are sticking with the two cards), make the other one a non-reprint.

It's sort of a balancing act. You want to make League attractive to all players, whether competitive, casual, or mostly-collector.
 
Remember that the Promo structure this year was 1 card that lined up with the Season they were working on, and one card that's useful in game situations. Many times, they picked one of the best cards from each Character as their Pokemon. What I'm thinking for this season is that they'll use the GS Gym Leaders, and have their cards broken down like this...

Faulkner: Fearow UL-15 or Noctowl HS-8***

Bugsy: Scizor SF-25*** or Scizor MD-29 or Butterfree HS-16 or Beedrill RR-15 or Beedrill UL-12

Whitney: Miltank SF-44*** or Miltank HS-47 (I doubt they'll use Clefable here)

Morty: Gengar AR-16*** or AR-17 or SF-18

Jasmine: Steelix SF-28*** or UL-24

Chuck: Poliwrath UL-21 or LA-35***

Pryce: Dewgong SV-24 or Mamoswine LA-9 or SF-21***

Clair: Dragonite LA-2 or Kingdra LA-7*** or UL-17

*** - Indicates what I think will be the card they choose.

Now, for the cards that I think need to be in here. They'll choose something playable but not LvX rarity. They had the chance to do that with Dialga and didn't. I think the bulk here will be Power Pokes and Trainers. Here's a short list of what I'd like to see here...

I've *'d the ones I think will be in there. Remember, they either can't or won't use cards from the newest sets for their Promos, so throw out virtually anything from the HS sets. I also doubt they'll use the same promos they did last year, as it'd kinda feel like a cop-out for the non-competitive players. There are 8 incredibly useful cards I outlined above that I think will be in the next set.

Of course, speculation is not confirmation. I'll wait until they actually make an announcement before judging next season.
 
fun as the speculation may be, i'd dare say that next year's league promos have long since been selected and gone to press, if they're not actually in the warehouse already...

Playable T/S/S and support Pokemon, please. It was great to be able to hand a kid a Uxie or a Roseanne's and know that they had just received the means to make a big improvement in their deck.*

* It wasn't so great to see some of them throw the card in their binder and continue to play with 30 Pokemon and 30 energy, though. (and yes, I did try to encourage them to actually USE the card, but sometimes...)

I don't. I reserve the right to complain about how Lux X should be one in every three packs in every set.

I didn't hear any complaints about this years league promos. This is just fun speculation lets leave it at that.

My spelling is horrible but I at least attempt to write well, I would appreciate the same respect.

OH OH, or they could reprint some of the cards from that Johto Gym set that we never got as SPs as a treat for the collectors. There's no way any of those cards would be considered overpowered (or useful) now.
 
Ryan/Bullados.... They released SV cards as reprints when SV was just released for league promos....
