Strictly speaking U.S. seeing as though the tournament types vary country to country what are the most tournaments won by an individual? Is there a way to find out and preferably which tournaments and how many of each? Just curious thanks.

I know you said U.S. only, but I believe Jacob Lesage won a CC, SPT, Regional, National, and Worlds this year. I'm sure there are similar stories.

He also won a battle roads...I say he counts as half American cause doesnt he hop the border for some tournaments?

You have regionals, that's the only difference.

Which is replaced by various local tournaments anyways.

Note that Jacob is one of only 2 people to ever win every type of tournament, the other being Curran Hill.

I think here in my area, Renan Bigarelli (junior) is the biggest winner. Back to 2007-08 season he won 11 battle roads, 4 city champ, 3 states champ, 1 special 32K event and nats (for 2nd time). He ended top32 at worlds 2008

I'm pretty sure Stuart Benson has won every type of tournament too.

Is the greatest competitive Pokemon TCG feat still Jason K. winning two worlds? Not sure if this has been outdone yet

The greatest feat at Worlds IMO is the Junior/Senior who won and then got back to the finals the next year only to get 2nd. That to me is insane. Jeremy Maron's 1st/3rd is quite impressive as well.

On a side note any record for most tournaments won in one year is most likely going to be a Junior.

Drew, you are probably right -- In Juniors, the three best seasons I've witnessed as far as tourney wins were Andrew Krekeler in 07 with a 2117.92 rating and pretty much a sweep in every tourney for the year. Vince would have to give the specifics, but I remember it was pretty insane... My son Drew Faust, ended 09 with a 1994 rating (ratings for big K events were lessened). He won like 7 BR's, 10 cities 2 states,1 regional and went x-1 for fifth at Nats (his only loss for the year in his age group) ,.. Josh S from WI might have the record in 09' though as he played almost every tourney he could get to and only lost a couple of them,so I'm thinking he might have 21 to 23 wins.. not sure... Curran and Jacob would get my vote for most impressive feat in one year... that is awful hard to do.

yeah patrick m won every tournament in california he went to. but he did so bad at worlds and top 32 or 16 at nats

I think the thing with Jacob is, from what I was told, he won every single tournament he was in, including an 8 man during grinders (XD).

No I do not believe that Stuart has ever won a Battle Road. He has not played much the past 3 years. But his parents are still invloved and particpating in Pokemon.

theres a junior (now a senior) from WI that won 11 Cities, at least 4 battle roads, a state, a regionals, top 8 nats, and top 16 worlds in 1 year. Thats probably high up there.

Three. :thumb: The list is small: Gino winning nats and then t4 at worlds, Pooka winning nats and then t4 this year, Sami has won nats like every year and has cut worlds I think every year as well, Yuta for obviously crushing worlds this year and t4 back in 04, and Yamato has done some pretty rediculous stuff.

Not to point this out, but the most insane I have ever seen was Seena beating Tom D. in the finals of Nats and then BOTH of them getting back to T4 the next year and having the same result except for in the 3rd/4th match. The chances of the same two players making T4 and getting 1st/3rd and 2nd/4th is incredibly low. The fact that they did it in back to back years was pretty impressive.
