Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Where did it all go.

I've been brewing over something. What is gonna happen when the older sets are gonna get

ROTATED OUT.

Here's what I think. The TCG could become more fair. Or it could spin into total chaos and everyone would be so mad. Do any of you know what this could mean. Decks would leave the format in a mere day. No more Claydol, Furret, Magnevire, Maybe even Kingdra. Garchomp forgotten by time. Gardy a legend. I'm sorry but I couldn't contain it any longer. Torterra gone like the wind. And you are all so fixed on three cards (or were at least) or four cards. What happens when it all goes bye bye. How does it make you feel. I mean I traded away so many cards for Claydols and then guess what I read a thread about set rotation. Then I thought it over. Just remember that good things don't last forever. Share deck. Buy newer cards, if any. Don't complain and say noone didn't warn you. I hate it too.

Err yeah...

haven't you noticed this every season? Peoples' triple digit $ LBS decks have rotated out, and we're still alive. Losing Gardy and Claydol and things like that will be okay, we'll have great new stuff in their place.

umm ya it happens all the time, plus knowing this game Ill be enjoying a new blastoise or shaymin and heatran in their fun etc etc. Plus, not way we lose LA next rotation we may not even lose GE and thus claydol, so meh.

Every season we lose about 4 sets , so let me do the math
DP,MT,SW,GE. so it would be MD-on , but there could be a chance where it's GE-on.

Claydol can be replaced with a similar card once it's rotated out. Even if it gets rotated out next season. we could have something better before the season starts.

...Delcatty anyone? Pidgeot? There will inevitably be some Pokemon in MD or GE-On that will come around with an awesome draw power that we'll gobble en-mass, has been for about every season so far I think since PUI has taken it. No worries here hopefully.

Or, who knows? Maybe we'll luck out and actually keep a format akin to Japan, where it'll be DP-On till the next-gen games

Also, before claydol, we were really forced to just use supporters, dedicating about 7 slots to draw cards. However, it does mean that in the future either better supporters or better pokemon need to be printed if we lose claydol

It's just that spent so much money on claydols that they could go out of the format. I just want something that will last 2 years.
It's stupid really

I never used Claydol until a month or two ago because I only had one. Big deal.

I dropped almost $100 for the last 11 cards I needed for my 2006 Nationals decks. $100 for 11 cards that I used in exactly one tournament. And I knew that would be the case.

Rotation is a part of the game, we all know it happens. There's no point in complaining about it when it happens every single year at the exact same time.

*is still happy he traded for 2 Claydol at the prerelease long ago*

Seriously, the price on them is ridiculous, I agree with that. I mean, it's not impossible to build a deck without him, but it just hurts not having him.

That's the fun thing about being a collector. You buy all the cards you're missing from the sets as soon as they are no longer in the modified format. Cheap fun. No way I can get all the LV.X cards now buying them individually. When the sets are no longer modified, I won't need to spend $30 each. I bet I can get them for $5-$10 each.

umm, when my expensive decks rotated, I didn't make a thread about it lawl. And that was back when they actually were expensive(*cough*LBS*cough*)

rotation is part of the game, dude, always has been. personally, I would prefer a different system, but thats a whole other thread. so, for now, just gotta deal with it

*points to AMU*

Though technically you could run it for 2 seasons (this year and next) since you'll still have the Lv X forms, so it's not a one-format deal like LBS was.
