I know it is probably pointless do dream it be held in an "exotic place", but it is still interesting to have players opinion.

Where do you think worlds will be held next year ?

I don't think that we will see so soon it in Latin America for security reasons (American don't play with that).

I see potential in Singapore because they have very low crime rate, it's clean, it has good transport infrastructures and they have done a pretty good job with OP in Asia-Pacific. English is also an official language so makes life easier for players, especially Americans. Unfortunately I doubt that they might get it next year.

Maybe we will get again Hawaii...

hawaii sucks imho.it (should) finally be time for europe to have worlds.so Germany or England(Berlin/London).time for some culture and history.but it would be nice if worlds would be in a small country without OP(Monaco,San Marino etc).
and in my own way im thinking Russia would be epic.but that's just me.worlds in any country in Europe would be fine with me.
btw yes,i'm from Europe since im sure somebody will ask.
I think worlds should be on a new cycle from now on.The cycle being America-Europe-Asia.

It seems that they are considering Europe for the next years. There are rumors that Americans will come at ECC in order to see if Europeans have conditions for it.

Russia will not happen so soon. Security is too "bad" according to American standards, and there is also the Visa problem too. Poutine also has not good relations with the US ;)

If it leaves North America for any location that doesn't have the primary language of English, I'd be shocked. We've seen it plainly that their target demographic is the Jr/Sr age groups, and I can't imagine them throwing a bunch of kids into a country not speaking English. This is unfortunate, but probably the truth.

MTG and Yugioh can get away because their target age group is definitely older and therefore capable of handling a different culture far better than an 8 year old.

We'll see at worlds I guess, but my bet's on Hawaii or California, though if on Hawaii somewhere other than the Hilton wouldn't surprise me.

I'm confused at this part. It's like you think they'll be dropped off and left to fend for themselves in the streets of Berlin .

Not implying that, but given TPCI's target demographic, it seems highly unlikely they'll head to a country out of NA.

But that's just me, disagree away.

I'll let you know when they make the announcement.

No use speculating or in this case posting where you want it to be or saying why where you live is the best place for Worlds (coughOPcough)

You've gone from not holding it in a non-English speaking country to not holding it outside of NA ...

It will be held in Europe in a very near future, it is just a matter of time. If in Europe not all countries fulfill the requirements tho.

I don't see it be held in France or Italy for example because they are too unorganized and messy in my opinion. France is a very nice country, but their transports are too unreliable.

I can see that be held in Netherlands. First they have good transport system, then they have experience with ECC, population speaks english. Schipol is also one of the largest and busiest airport in the world, I think it would be one of the main worries for the Americans that the venue can be easily accessed from their continent.

Due to its cultural proximity with North America, can be UK too.

I think we can all agree that is highly unlikely to be in Asian countries any time soon.

I am a fan of it going to England. I would assume world's 2014 would be either San Diego or Hawaii. San Diego is just a purely consistent pick because it is always fun, cheaper than most places and a prime traveling location.

nope.i'd rather call it a test run.hopefully they will be/are testing if the event(worlds) can survive outside of NA.

You can call it what you like, but the history of the event is the history of the event the actual "test" is having it in Canada. When do they announce the location for World's? I am drawing a blank. The sooner it is, the less I would find it likely that Worlds would be outside of NA next year, as that is less time to figure out things really went this year: if the announcement is at the end of this year's World Championships, for example, they won't know if it is worth even having the event outside of the U.S. yet.

I personally am hoping we see Anaheim for 2014.

I think it will take over 1 year to learn from the lessons of Vancouver regarding foreign Worlds, and with an event of this structure, I am sure that the location of 2014 has been chosen, and will most likely be at a place we have seen before.

Orlando would be nice, but I think we have gotten lucky over the last few times with Hurricane season.

Given the X and Y motif, I am hoping that we see Nice or Paris France for 2015. Just seems fitting to go to the country the games are made after. Certain poetry there, and oui, we would all have to learn un peu French.

Just my thoughts, I have NO inside information.

Why not ?

Singapore :
- Has english as official language
- One of the safest places in the world
- Organizes the Regional of South-East Asia every year with the players coming from all the countries around and Océania.
- Singapore Changi airport is a major hub in the world
- Good transport system inside the city

Maybe not for the next two years, but can be a serious candidate in the future when organizing worlds outside north America becomes a normal thing.

Im hoping for Tokyo, but I know it will never be there due to the crazy costs involved. If not they should hold it in Toronto.

I've been there a few times, I will agree that it is safe. It is also incredibly strict, for kids who like to play around, the rules are not good for that. It was the most strict place I've been to.

I also think in terms of money, its not worth the investment. There just isn't many things to do there, as a whole.

I'm an advocate of world championships being held on a cruise liner. I do see the problem with it, though. Carnival cruises are risky in this day in age. Unpredicatable storms out at sea can mess everything up. It is also a safety risk for little kids. I would love to see it happen, but it won't, sadly.

I feel it's going to be either Hawaii or Japan. I'm inclined to say that ***'ll be Hawaii because it's common knowledge that Worlds are booked about two years in advance, and if this years Worlds is to see the ability to hold it outside of the USA, then my inclination is that in 2015 it'll be in Japan. If it's not in the USA, it'll be in Japan.

This sounds like a ploy to sell more cards at the last minute. Besides not even having the option of leaving the venue, how hard would it be for someone to pull a Weevil and toss cards overboard? How many little kids will just end up losing cards overboard anyway?
