Which deck is better for a beginning player

there are two decks are looking to build, blastoise keldeo which i have experience feels like a fairly straightforward deck to play, but i feel the klinklang cobalion might be the better deck, and cheaper. Any opinions on which one i should go for?

money wise dont do pokemon but since both are super hyped they will both be expensive but there is hope i think the keldeo is now in tins and blastiose is in iceshock theme deck :biggrin: so money wise keldeo

as for ease of play keldeo is better

so go with keldo :pokeball: :cool:
 
There both pretty straight forward and both are cheap. Pick which one you prefer more since there not really better or worse than each other

there both the same. blastoises cost around 10 each while cobalions are 15. keledos come in a tin and sell for 5-7 individually. klinklangs are around 3-4 each. both need beach for both decks to really dominate if not your just at a slight disadvantage. so either way your looking at the same investment.
 
I don't see Tropical Beach as a MUST HAVE to win matches and tournaments.. it just makes things ridiculously easy for you, and sometimes your opponent.

I have the Blastoise/Keldeo deck.. and that was just because half of the deck luckily fell into my hands. So it was pretty cheap for me,

All you would have to do is buy the Blast Kyurem theme deck from stores.. then go individually buy a few blastoise and keldeo. along with a handful of some important trainers and items.. ultimately resulting in a deck less than $100, which is good I might add.


I feel like Darkrai deck would be easy as hell to make. get 4 lasers for like $5 on ebay, buy 3 Darkrai, some Sableye, and a tech attacker, and have at it. [items and supporters like usual as well]



Klink is a cool deck, and because of it.. you can really use a bunch of steel pokemon, which all aren't that expensive. i say buy 2 packs of Dragons, Plasma, Boundaries, and Dark Ex, and see what the cards say to you..

That's always the most fun part :)

3 Squirtle and only 2 Keldeo? Good luck ever getting a Blastoise out when you've only got three squirtle and they keep getting catcher-KO'd. 2 Keldeo is only good with a heavy Black Kyurem EX line, if you're just playing straight Keldeo/Mewtwo 2 is awful.

I mean at Texas States I went 4-4.

Lost to Landorus/Lugia, PlasmaKlang, Darkrai Lasers x2.

All I have to do is play 2 squirtle which is never hard.
 
I run 3 squirtle 3 blastoise. Just because I've had so many Blastoise in prizes before. Never an issue with catchers either. People usually don't catcher so early in the game. And not many can kill it early anyways.

I run 3 Keldeo. I feel that is the better option than 2. Since its the needed attack source.

But now that I have this deck finished etc. it's pretty boring to play with lol. Too bad eels and Darkrai will be out once rotation happens. Or id go with them.

This is just a normal list without beaches, but if you ever get any, drop 1 lightning energy and a super rod for two Tropical Beaches.

All speculation, I imagine they'd take out up to NXD, since that was the start of the EX era, but that's off topic.
Darkrai won't be rotated though, since he was reprinted as a promo.


As for Keldeo EX, I mean yeah 3 is good, but how many times have you used all 3? When you set up 2. that's most of your energy then you still have B. Kyurem EX, and now Blastoise cause of plasmaklang.
 
Speed Darkrai is definitely the way to go. One attack, one ability, no thinking, final destination.

However, I suppose of the two decks you mentioned, Keldeo is the closest to a straightforward strategy you can get. It requires counting though.
