get the refernce? ;p anyways im trying o teach my dad how to play pokemon and he does not want to use my "complicated" decks (i let him use reshiphlosion against my gothitelle damage swap). ANYWAYS i was wondering what would be the best starter deck for us to play with. thanks :D

EDIT! i mean a good theme deck i could buy in stores

I actually made that joke a while ago... great minds thing alike. I don't believe that learning with a theme deck is a good idea. They aren't even close to real decks, so why learn with them? I'd rather dump him into the deep end and have him play a real deck (Reshiphlosion or Stage 1 work well). He'll learn much more quickly about the game play AND how to play well.

i tried that 5 times, it DOES NOT WORK XD. I end up playing both games. (ps my dad does no even know the rules, all he knows is 'at the start of each turn draw a card". So i think is good to give im a theme deck and when he learns the rules give him a meta deck :D

What I would do is look for a card you like and see what you could get to work with it. If you want, you can try the new monkey Pokemon from the new set. I plan on playing them and they look really good.
