Yeah I am already in the Hilton Bayfront and I'd really like to play & trade with some poeple in the evening...is anyone already here as well?

For those who are arriving soon, the hotel is GREAT! It's quite hard to find some place to meet and play, though. There are some tables in the Fox Sports Grill and also outside in the pool area but it's quite windy in there...so yeah let's find some place where pokegym members can meet eachother lol :p

Wow! The early bird does get the worm. I won't be there until next week. In the mean time, could you tell me of some restaurants in the area?

If I recall, Freezer is from Europe (Germany maybe??), anyway,...my guess is he is using this week as a "holiday" and also getting over the jet lag.

Enjoy!

yeah, I'm from germany. We (my family and I) are making holidays in the city where worlds are held. We are visiting all the interesting spots like the zoo and seaworld (which is amazing btw). It's quite sucky that the hotel is that expensive, though (but the hotel is way to cool to stay another hotel).

I live closest to the Hilton than anybody else.

PM me also on everything about San Diego, and the Hilton.
i live in it...naw, i'm just kidding w/ ya, i live on the other side of the country.

disneyland is close by, and there's always the beaches, and hot girls at the beaches:biggrin:

disneyland is a 90-minute to 2-hour+ drive from SD, depending on time of day/traffic...

Would be helpful if you added your information to SD Pokemom's thread about San Diego information. There are many of us out here not from the area and your information may prove extremely useful! Thanks! How about if you put together a list of 4 or 5 of your favorite restaurants near the hotel, your favorite places to go and visit, best beaches and why....whatever you think might be helpful to others.

I've been in SD since Thursday. :) Staying with friends at a hotel downtown, in Little Italy, until I'm moving to the Hilton Bayfront on Tuesday.

My father, sister and brother just moved into the Hilton Bayfront. So there's no open playa area at the hotel at all?

For anybody who is staying at the America Best Value Inn, watch your back at night unless you want to find out what the words cholo, gangster, and homies mean up close and personal. Stayed there 2 years ago after a tuna trip with my cousin, and we were like "This is really bad" as we were driving towards it at around 1am.

Ultimately nothing happened to us aside from being kept awake by the constant blaring of sirens, but if you guys aren't from the area REALLY be careful if you go somewhere after around 11am or so. This is mainly going to be concern for people after the Grinder. Walking around in a Pokemon T-Shirt, late at night, carrying a backpack, and looking like a somewhat lost (and definitely tired) tourist is like holding a flashing neon light above your head screaming "JUMP ME!!!" Try to avoid that.
