Your just doing it wrong.

Ive seen e6600 c2d pc's sell for less then 900 with 2-3gb of ram, a decent video card and a 22inch WS monitor.

What are you going to school for? Or better yet what do you "need" in a comp then that makes it atleast 1K?

Though, technically speaking, Prime would only be limited to one choice...

The Mac Mini

Both models have some decent specs (for a mid-range computer, of course), compatible with a bunch of hardware that can be used with PCs (keyboards, mice, monitors, etc.) and it's the cheapest Mac anyone can get
 
By the way, if you have the choice between computers with similar specs where one has Vista while the other has XP, get the XP one.

As of now, yes, I agree but when SP2 for Vista comes out, get Vista.:thumb:



You can get a good AMD processor for really cheap now scene Intel has the best processor but if you are on a budget, Amd, is the way to go.
