why ash is immortal- theory

ok heres the reason, rember the first move, mewtwo strikes back, and at the end whare ash is hit by psycke bolt by mewtwo and turnd to stone?, well i was thinking and what if after being restord some of those stone genes stayed with him? stone is usaily protrayed as being ever lasting in other words- immortal. think about it.

Some of my friends think it may be in similar circumstances to the Doctor on Doctor Who. Ash changes traveling companions and somehow that keeps him young or younger.
