Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Why do people hate Gardy/Gallade

I mean,Ive seen so many counter decks to Gardylade and Ive seen so many hate threads towards the deck. I just wanna know, why??Why is this deck deck so unliked by some??

Because even the counter decks get rocked at least 40% of the time. If your playing against a very skilled G&G player, it'll be more than that!

i didn't see it overused in Texas States, in fact, I didn't play one in the rounds. one of the judges said there was only one that made the top cut in one of the age groups.... idk which one. But yes, from what i've heard, it's overused.

It makes crappy players win tournaments. Repeatedly.

There's something wrong there.

You are a...well, I should restrain myself, I don't want to get kicked off the Gym. Listen, yes G&G is one of, if not THE best deck in the format, but you still have to be good to run it well. G&G isn't a Mario, which took no skill to run, as G&G requires many game time decisions (when to use what, how to use what, etc.). Granted, G&G is an AMAZING deck, but you have to know what you're doing to be good with it!

I could use it and win tournaments with it! I've been playing in sanctioned Pokemon tournaments since Hidden Legends came out, and I've won prizes ONCE (T4 at a CC this fall with Gatr d. Lost 2-0 to Honchkrow in T4). Maybe I'm unlucky, maybe I'm just bad at this, but no deck should be so overused and easily playable that I stand a decent shot at winning anything.

I would never say that Mario was a game-breaking deck, but it did require more skill to run it than you are giving it. GG takes skill to play it, and so does Mag, but certain aspects of GG just set itself up, like when you have a Furret active and a Gardevior on the bench. In that aspect, it was harder to play Mario because you didn't have as many resources to get out everything quickly, or the ability to OHKO a pokemon every turn.

During cities I hated GG, but now I can play Darkrai and i pone some of the best GG decks and go 50/50 against mag.

PLAYING AGAINST GG IS FUN!!!!!!!!!!

yeah can i see a list of "crappy" players that came first in any sort of tournament

if a "crappy" player won a tournament then the rest of the players in the metagame must be pretty "crappy" as well, you would think that a good player playing gg could beat a "crappy" player using it so unless they were the only ones playing it it seems that they were in fact the least " crappy" player there

G&G ugh One reason, G&G has killed the fun in this game. It has become way too boring to play at tourneys because of G&G. A noob can play in any tourney with G&G and expect to do fairly good. Magmortar you can beat and it isn't that hard. I've lost more to G&G than I won and this isn't sour grapes, I'll take my lumps but when you go to a tourney to play G&G 6 or 7 times No Thanks.

I'm not one to say bad things of someone while mentioning their name.
I'm just saying that the deck evens the playing field too much.

the only reason it is hated is because there is so much of it. At my states we had 6 rounds before top cut, I faced GG 5 times out of the 6 rounds. I lost to 1 of those and that is because I had a bad hand
