Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Why M&Ms (Eeveelutions) are going to become Archetypes - A TC-EE Production

Here is a basic M&Ms decklist:

x4 Eevee
x2 Glacion
x2 Glacion Lv.X
x2 Espeon
x1 Umbreon

x2 Baltoy
x2 Claydol
x2 Pachirisu
x2 Phione

What the people in this thread is saying is totally right. In my testing, having Umbreon and Espeon take up half the line makes it TOTALLY hard to even come up with a good attacking force. While the opponent might have Gardy/Gallade/Dusknoir, you just have Glaceon, Glaceon, and that's it. You could attack with Espeon/Umbreon, but you'll have to waste a DRE and a turn attachment on it just for them to get KO'd next turn.

I would never run Glaceon and Leafeon in the same deck. Two totally different strategies (disruption/energy acceleration).

I miss the old eeveelutions. They were so much better than the ones we have now (other than being ex's).

I'm not saying the cards aren't good, but compared to the recent dominating decks, I don't see them at the same caliber as them. You might be able to tech to beat Mag or GG, but I don't see them beating good decks you don't have the exact weakness to. Glaceon doesn't do enough damage, Leafeon doesn't have any disruption. It's just weird.

You're forgeting that I took Leafeon/Lv.X off the list. They're not in the deck anymore. =`(

People might run Glacion/Empoleon or M&Ms with techs. We don't know, but expect to see M&Ms somewhere.

I wasn't talking about your list, I was talking in general. I am sure eeveelutions will see play, but just how good it is will be determined at...battle roads? yuck. we will see at nationals.

Omastar will not hurt it because: I can just evolve my Pokemon next turn! That easy! M&Ms only has stage 1s and does not require Rare Candy. Check in my Signature for an Eeveelutions list Prime. It has DREs and Scrambles.

Lol, remember he said he would wager them away.

Eeveelutions will see some play but, I think some of the new cards mixed with old cards will make the better archtype. I loled at the Omastar ripping through Eeveelutions (I can sense a 1-0-1 line of it in every deck just to stop Eeveelutions lol)

Dont you almost have to use umbreon for free retreat to level up Leafeon?
Don't you always always need Umbreon when you take Espeon up against Garde.
Also isn't there a problem with Gallade letting them get ahead in prizes then basically matching each other when you square off toe to toe?

I must be playing it wrong because as much as I want it to work I keep coming up short against Plox.

Wait a second.

How does Metagross + Mew d fall into this here? Wasn't that deck played last format at nats?

^ lol. M&Ms is a candy. I guess that you live in Antartica since you don't know what M&Ms are.

M&Ms was a deck.. Metagross/Meganium that WAS used at US Nationals last year....
so keep your little candy comments to yourself.....

Anyway, Eevee's will most likely end up beinb Tier 2 at best..

They weren't confirmed anywhere. People have just expected them since the non-lv.Xs were coming out and they would fit into the guesstimated set list.

The Lv X Eevolutions are basically confirmed. Both of the Leafeon and Glaceon forms are in the set, thus odds are nearly 100% that we will get them.

That was what I was talking about.

As for your deck.. it looks really vulnerable against a Gallade. Glaceon is not the end all card in your gardy matchup, they just furret a little more and still get setup in the end. Since you yourself do not play any scramble I don't see how you stop a big hp stage 2. They will ko 2 of your pokemon before it goes down, at least. Then you simply don't have enough attackers to come back. IF they get a second one up... jeeze.

Don't get me wrong, the eevees are decent, but you haven't broke them yet.

Lucario, Honchkrow, Electivire, Dialga, and Palkia Lv. X all came out after their original forms in different sets. That's 5/12 Lv X's released after their original so don't think it can't happen. It would be nice to have them in the set though.

^ There are no other eevolutions coming out after we get these, whereas cards like Dialga and Palkia had another form released after. Krow, Vire, Luc are the only ones who didn't, but Vire was the only one who got a later form thus far.
That with the original ad posted on the PokeBeach that talked about the Eevee Lv X forms, you can kinda figure it out.

Glacion Lv.X hits the bench along with a little luck.

At least Lati-Lock doesn't shut off Claydol's Poke-Power

I belive Eeveelutions is a very good deck BUT it needs a lot of skill to use and a very good list for it to be good. That's the only thing keeping it from being a archtype. If a lot of people play it as much as GG was played it could easily become an archetype. Archetypes are decks that are sucessful and are played a lot. I don't see this being played a lot and being very successful. It might win a few BRS but not that much.

People should be skilled somewat if they play pokemon,Glaceon and Leafon isnt the only evolutions in the line,so the deck can see some play, but people will probably play the deck different than the most obvious ones.
