Gosh guys, a whole bunch of complaining is all I've heard so far. I think we all get the point by now: WIN EVERYTHING!!! If you're not good enough to go X-0 at any given tournament, then you don't deserve to win. It's that simple. Besides, luck clearly doesn't play a part in this game, so I think the T4 cuts are justifiable. If matchups were that important then we might have a problem; heck, if the possibility of a good player getting a bad opening hand every once in a while were present, I might just be a bit upset. But that's obviously not the case.
All I have to say about it is... DEAL WITH IT. Just like these guys said in another topic with a similar theme:
I don't really see what's the problem?
It's understood: WIN.
The people with the best records don't have to worry about cuts. You guys are "play to win" all the time but when you don't [and lose/don't have the best record] then you get mad at POP ' and say they're not giving enough chances.
This is coming from somebody who has missed more top cuts by resistance than almost anybody that I know of.
GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WIN YOUR GAMES!!!
There is nothing else to it.
Again, I've missed about as many top cuts by resistance as anybody in this game. More than many I know of, in fact. I've gone one loss and missed the top cut before. I don't cry over it. I tell those in the top cut that they played great, and I go off and look for side events to join.
You can't do that? Sry, you're an idiot, and you don't deserve anything more than what you've got.
(please note the sarcasm for the above)

Aside from the fact that many people don't want a tournament lasting until 9 or 10 PM, this honestly makes no sense at all. I apologize for my pessimistic tone with this post, but I'm getting really tired of being disappointed by the Pokemon TCG. It seems that recently there's been an issue with every single step POP has taken. Battle Roads were decent, but there was still a problem with the contents of POP 6 not being disclosed before the tournaments began (not a big deal of course, but only because the cards in POP 6 were rather useless anyway). Now we have the news that City Championships are limited to only a Top 4 cut. So provided that a tournament actually pulls a large crowd, many of those players will be disappointed that their X-1 record didn't earn them a spot in the top cut. I guess tournaments will get over sooner, which means that people can get to bed sooner, but I know I won't be sleeping any easier.
I'll still hold on to the fact that more North American invites are being given out this year (a big thank you to whoever had a hand in that), but there are many things going on that I don't really understand. And this is just another one of them. :nonono:
