Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Will Nationals U.S.A ever be held in California?

Every thing should be held in Cali! It's by far the prettiest, most enjoyable part of the country... and perhaps the world... Am I biased because I live here? Maybe... However, what I said is still true. I definitely comprehend the middle America placement reasoning... But it would be worth it to come to Cali!

Btw: Cali ftw=

Have you been to Oklahoma? There isn't anything there worth seeing. It's just... Oklahoma.

LOL Nahh scrubs just assume there is nothing here... We do have alot of high end players here if you have ever been to nats or worlds you would probibly have met us.

Oklahoma wouldnt be the best of locations for US nats simply because we dont have a convention center set up for anything more then sports.

Lastly Cali is a horrid location for nationals... We would probibly makethe trip but honestly... Accross the entire nation for some players would be unthinkable for the average Joe.

If it's going to be in the midwest it needs to move to Chicago so there's more than two flights going in and out of the city each day. But I think people need to just suck it up and move it to New York and let it stay there.

I agree with and support this sentiment.

Chicago has 2 major airports in city, one of them competes for the title of Busiest Airport in the United States every year. There is a third within 2 hours that has a shuttle or train into the city. There are at least two convention centers, both near a major airport as well as MULTIPLE hotels (though one isn't technically *in* Chicago, it has more contiguous floor space than the Columbus Convention Center, and definitely as large as the America's Center). The public transportation system is good enough for most purposes, with two separate local rail services (Metra and CTA) that between them stop at pretty much every major area that you'd want to visit. Not to mention the bus routes that snake pretty much everywhere.

NOTE: This comes from a Chicago native...

If you're looking for somewhere centralized, with a large player base, and adequate transportation routes, here's a list that I can think of just off the top of my head...

Chicago
Milwaukee
St. Louis
Indianapolis
Tennessee
Oklahoma

Minny is probably too far north for most drivers, ditto for most of Texas in the south.
you forgot a place w/ a big, talented player base...NEW ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets have everyone put where they are from when they say where it should be. I would like to see how many people live in the area where they think it should be.

A lot of this argument for me was origionally 'they want to have it in the center of the country'. But really,
how much more is it going to cost to fly from New York to LA than from New York to Saint Louis? If it's
not in driving distance, you're going to half to fly, and then we are not talking about that big a difference
in cost.

I don't know about the southwest. But the Northwest is, without a doubt, the holder of the 'highest player
base per population' in the country, we should hold it here. How about the Rose Garden? lol. Texas would
be a good choice as well, plenty of large spaces, and a bigger player base, (Though not higher percentage.)

Bottom line though is that I don't see the benifit in having it in the 'center' of the country rather than on
either Coast, you're going to hit the locals, and force most of the country to travel. (it'd just be nice to have
it in a variety of places each year so the same people don't get the privalage of having it in their backyard.)

I say that they should have it at chicago mainly b/c of transportation. yeah i know that rooming is expensive but mainly in the downtown

with transports such as the metra and CTA you can room in the suburbs for cheap and just make sure you take the early morning train... which is something i could do since i'm from the chicago area...

Being Nationals, it has to be centrally located or in a busy hub. I think Bullados has made the best suggestion. Chicago is the a major transportation hub as he explained in great detail.
If they wanted to consider the cheapest place to go, I would recommend Vegas. Flights to Vegas are dirt cheap and so are accomodations.

That's true no matter where you hold Nats. A central location, though, is better for those who have to travel, both in terms of travel time and minimized "jet lag."

I think personally 2 nationals being held the same day in NY and CA would be a good idea, of course invites would be top 4 only and prize support would have to halfed. But I think that'd be an awesome idea.
