World Record?

I was flipping through my copy of the Guinness Book of World Records. I found a record for Largest Card Game Tournament. The record was set by players of a Spanish game called Mus in September of 2008. There were 512 pairs of players... which equates to 1024 players. We clearly beat those numbers this year. If we were to request a judge to show up in nationals next year, perhaps we could get our game in the Guinness book. Would it be worth it? Also, we'd need to raise quite a bit of money to get the judge to come out.

If the mods would allow me to post the link to the record, I'd love to. My primary point of this thread is to ask if it is worth it to bring the judge out? We'd clearly take the record if we have a good location and a player base as strong as this year.

Perhaps awarding travel prizes to players in a proximity of an event should be stopped (Eastern canadian regionals winners when nats is in the east seems stupid) and awarded to players who are further away.
