No grinder next year so I don't see why you would go there without a trip.

What if you get an invite and no trip, basically for me this means that I have to finish T2 at nats to get to Worlds, 3rd or 4th basically isnèt an option as I can not afford it.

Kempley, this season there will be NO invites anymore without a trip.
Each invite comes with a trip. WORLDWIDE

What about all 'points' buisiness? Isn't there a trip up for grabs for those with the most points as well as the invite from the Nationals?

Yes the most points of the CONTINENT will earn a trip.
You can earn them with playing premier events.
Not yet announced how many trips will be available that way, but consider how many players we are talking about in a Continent.

About the Hotel, I dont think you should be that worried about it... there are a few ways to deal with the hotel costs...

1. I am sure closer to the event (May - July) PUI will tell you that they have a nice low price like they did this year...

2. if you cant, just split the room with 4 other ppl, 75 per person for a 300 room is a lot better than 300 by yourself,

3. Yeh I agree with some of the pplz. if you can afford 700 for the flight, try to find a way to either earn the money just for the trip (some states you can collect cans for 5/10 cents each) or you can use frequent flyer miles, if you dont have them ask your family members if you can use them,

you have to number 1 in EUROPE to go to worlds??????

They are dropping the grinder to make this a more prestigous event. They will know there are gonna be many who coem for the fun of it or who are there to cheer on thier competitors and need something to do and thats why side events will still be there. Expect a more tame atmosphere and a quiter worlds next year. The best thing is there wont be lines out thr door friday for check in. Plus there will be a more competitive and worthy road to the top.

Yopu gotta look at it this way. This year POP spent a good 6 hours preparing the grinder with check in's and trying to get the lines straight. They felt that pinch in 2004+2005 and they know how they tight the invites will be. This made them fell without a grinder it will make for a more competitive and hard fight to the #1 spot and if the player wins its because he/she was the best and dident slip in on a last chance shot.

I think a trip to Hawaii AND Worlds is well worth the money. Trust me, I've been to Hawaii before and didn't want to leave.

The smallest cheapest room you can get there is $329 XD

I am sure that there will be rooms discounted for ppl who want to go and just want to hang... I would assume there would be something to do, however I could be wrong,

Anyone know how many cost go there from Argentina?? Yeah the most Austral country of the planet to Hawai!! I think that this year will be the most difficult year to go to worlds!! Because two questions:
1) The invites of Worlds (Only 64 people for each group)
2) If you are invited and you must pay the travell, you need a lot of money!
I will do my best job this year but i need to study too, so i repeat i will do my best job. Good luck to all players of the world!!
