Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Worlds 2011 Day 2 thread

Yeah, I want a deck break down. Hope we get one between now and when the Top Cut starts tomorrow...

It is honestly surprising that after all the fanfare, Pokemon's official website has possibly the best coverage of the event...

ok the pokemon worlds website just said that reshiram decks and yanmega/magnezone decks have a strong showing in the field today.

@OldMan_GG - Not quite, they said they weren't seeing as much Magnezone as expected. Its a fine article, though, worth a read - www.pokemonworldchampionships.com

@PheonyxXx - Standard procedure says its Top 16 (or less, though I doubt they'd reduce it at Worlds!) as all age groups started out with between 65 and 127 players.

OK, I feel that I should clarify...

The Pokemon website has the best "live" coverage. The TopCut guys are getting some matches recorded. So, those will be awesome after the fact. However, Pokemon is the only play to get anything resembling deck information (save Jwittz saying that Jayson H is playing Primetime w/ Kindgra) and sound by round listings and rankings.

I'm sure many people could guess, but it's been confirmed that Tom Dolezal was running tyRam.

Also, Jwittz is 6-0.

Does anyone know what Jwittz is playing. He said before the tourny that ReshiPhlosion was the deck that he was testing the most and was the one he was likely going to play.

Did he stick with it?

Ok, at this point the real news is: How's the match between Sammi Sekkoum and J-Wittz going along? Sorry, i love J-Wittz's vids but as a Brit i'm backing Sammi all the way!

I'm sure we'll know how it ended up almost immediately. Jwittz has been posting his results very quickly after each round.

For anyone who hasn't found their way there, Jwittz is posting on
twitter.com

Now that Sami's in the Top 16... I wonder how he ranks statistically as a Worlds Competitor overall? He really must be up there.

Time for this giraffe to sleep. Have fun everyone and see you tomorrow!

Sammi beat Jwittz. Apparently, the last game went down to the final prize.

Also, Sammi is playing the same deck that Jwittz is playing. I would assume this is ReshiPhlosion.

See a couple posts up, I stand corrected. Both are playing Yanmega/Magnezone. Sorry all.

I wonder what caused Jwittz to switch over from the ReshiPhlosion that he had been testing a lot of...

Sami (MegaZone) over Josh (MegaZone).

Where did you get the info on their decks?
