Im curious to see where in DC this will be. There's the main Convention center in DC itself, but there's the wonderful National Harbor not far from DC. That would make a great place for worlds!

I've always wanted to visit DC, would be nice to do well enough in the vgc to go to this, even if DC is kinda expensive. At the least I can put off renewing my passport lol.

As long as it's in the United States (well, North America), I should be able to go this year! Yay!

Going no matter what. Only 8 hours from Michigan as opposed to 16ish for Florida and more than a whole day's worth for California and Vancouver. Super pumped!

While that'd be awesome, I highly doubt they do that. If they do, I'll eat my worlds.

I'm probably one of the few who is actually disappointed with the announcement. D.C. is 20 min away or a light rail ride away. It's nothing special for a prestigious event sigh.

How many worlds can you consume in one sitting?

I hear ya. I'd feel the same if it were in NYC. But imagine what folks local to Vancouver thought as well. The grass is always greener on the other side, and places are more exotic to non-locals :thumb:

it seems to me that it would be the right time to start a 3+ year circulation.that being NA+SA+Europe+Japan etc :D

I'm a 10 minute metro ride away and love that there is no flight/time change... Don't know why you're complaining.

For those who want to save they can rent a hotel where they are cheap and take the Metro in.

Hopefully TPCi will be able to confirm the date and exact location soon, like they did with Vancouver last year.

My daughter is excited went to DC when she was only a year old and has been upset that she cant remember anything. We are going to show up a few days early so we can taker her to the wonderful Museums and other sights. Next years grinder could be bigger then Nationals. Maybe to limit the rounds they will let in the T16 like they did in San Diego 2 years ago.
