For anyone wanting to know, "Will X-X make T32?" there's your answer.

duh...the calculation seems confusing to me,in order to get T32 in the 64 players swiss format, the max no. of rounds u can lose is 2,if u exceed that 2 then say bye bye

Yep. 3 people that go 4-3 will make the top cut. I bet the other 32 won't be very happy.

That is of course, providing those numbers are true.

it gets very tricky with any number which isnt 2^x. You then have to assume that those with higher records will beat those with lower ones, but then its not as accurate. Calculation provided above is absolutely correct.

However, I assume that number of players in each group will be higher than 128 based on calculation in some other thread here.

I donno if I should of read this but I did. For lucks sake.

*Preyin'*no more than 2 losses 3 is 2 risky!!!!*Preyin'*

In 15+, I expect a couple 5-2's to die on resistence, or MAYBE 1-2 4-3's slip in on resistence.

In 11-14, I expect a fair share, but still a wide minority of 4-3's to top cut

in 10-, most of the 4-3's will top cut.

Just my opinion.

I doubt it is only going to be 7 rounds for 160 people. I don't know. I would rather try figuring that one out. 128 isn't happening. It is statistically impossible with more invites due to top 4 last year getting invites.

Number of invites given to each country in the 15+ age group:

USA:
49 Gym Challenges: 49
13 Regional Championships: 26
'05 Nationals: 4
'05 Canadian Nationals: 3
'04 World Championships: 1
Total: 83

Canada:
'05 Canadian Nationals: 4
2 Gym Challenges: 2
Total: 6

Japan:
'05 Japan National Championships: 8
'04 World Championships: 3
Total: 11

UK:
'05 UK Nationals: 4
Total: 4

Belgium:
'05 Belgium Nationals: ? (4 Invites overall, not 15+)
Total: ?

Germany:
'05 German Nationals: 4
Total: 4

Mexico:
'05 Mexico Nationals: 4
2 Gym Challenges: 2
Total: 6

New Zealand:
'05 NZ Nationals: 4
Total: 4

These numbers are far from complete, and I especially need to know who placed in the Top 4 at Belgium Nats so I can determine if Belgium Nationals (which was an open event, I'm pretty sure) was won by people from their own country or not. I think I remember reading that 2nd place was irwinmalek, who is from England, so I need the results for there to be anything but a question mark in that position.

Disclaimer (thanks, Scizor): These numbers will not necessarily be correct because some invites were earned in the 11-14 age group and the winners of those invites will turn 15 before the beginning of the World Championships.

plus the 3 that got invites at canadian nats woop....

I thought only Canadians could get invites at Canadian Nationals. Hmm. Thanks for the heads up, Else.

Two questions, though:
1) Does that mean that SlimeyGrimey will be the only Canadian (with the exception of Joner, who T4'd at last year's event) representing his country in the 15+ division at Worlds?

2) Were any other foreign National/Stadium qualifier invites won by United States residents besides Canada?

no, what happened was, let's say, like what happened, 3 US and 1 Canadian T4'ed. The top 4 canadians would still get invited with trips, but the US players that T4'ed (or worse since i had an invite and 5th seed didn't) would get a brand new invite, so 4 canadians still got invites....
edit: i think the only ones where us won invites was in canada....(also, canada had GC's)

Well, most international Nationals had a total of 4 invites (with exceptions of bigger countries), however many of those players will not make it, because the trip would cost them too much. From ours Nationals only I will make it after all (my sig). I guess we should make a list with all intl. nats and no. of invites available there.

*runs to Intl section to make one.*
