I hope they gonna keep the site for other big events like Cities,States, etc.

If Yamato doesn't have an invite then why is he travelling all the way to here to play in the grinder. I thought Japan had something like that for its players.

He didn't place high enough in that tournament. Someone said he was only off by a couple of spots.

Dude, if I could go and wasn't able to play, I'd still go. Definitely. 100% sure I would. Playing in worlds is just one aspect of Worlds itself. And I think it'd be so much fun just hanging out with players around the world and playing in small side tournaments.

I have a question about the players listed on the Who's Playing section. Did they just list people who have invite+trips or people with only invites? It's really weird to see only 3 players from Australia are able to go.

I think they only listed invites plus trips people.

Cause to the best of my recollection, it was top two in each age group got invites, but only top got a trip.

I don't know if any of the second placers are going though, because of the cost of a self funded trip.

And just a little bit of random, the 11-14 and 15+ names are mixed up for Australia, lol.

Top 4 in each age group got invite, winner only got a trip.

Its kinda scary, that the 5 players from Czech Republic are not listed there even though we are already here in Hilton.

The New Zealand flag was on it but theres NONE coming from NZ.... Ouch.

I don't know the full details, but apparently, New Zealand never even got a Nationals, or they're yet to have it. The New Zealand players are understandably ******. It doesn't help that they have the same LD as we do in Australia either.

I don't think there are any representative from HOng Kong coming to Worlds this year, since we have no NC even CC
You think that has anything to do with the fact that Hong Kong has its own organized play organization (points to your sig)? -not necessarily a bad thing, just pointing it out...

There's my name in the list in the Finland section though I'm not going :frown:. You know, I couldn't ignore high school... It's kinda sad, I would have wanted to go into Worlds. But it would've cost a lot more than 1000 € which is over $1300.

I wonder how our country will do in this tournament. Last year Finland was in Top 32 (15+).

On this page they have the following question...

This is the third year for the Pokémon TCG World Championships. You know it's in Anaheim this year. But can you name the two U.S. cities where it was held in 2004 and 2005?

Does Nintendo totally disregard the 2002 World Championship?
