Worlds Question

What's not to get?
You win a premiere event, you get in.
When/where/whatever are those events? NO ONE KNOWS, they get announced later in the season.

I already said how it was LAST year to get an invite, I'll post it again.

Getting top 4 at a previous worlds tournament in your age group
Getting top 4 at the US nationals(held every year, at columbus ohio usually)
Getting 1st or 2nd at a regionals(~13 regionals)
Getting 1st at a Gym Challenge(~48 for the US last year)

World Championships, national Championships, Regional Championships, and Gym Challenges are all premiere events, you get worlds invitations from them. Now, things MAY CHANGE this year, they may not, but that is what happened LAST YEAR.

TOP 4 at Worlds = you placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in your age group at the previous year's Worlds tourney. There IS NO invite/trip based on rankings.

Why are you asking for all this information from people if you're not bothering to follow the links and READ what's clearly posted in the various FAQs?

And use the EDIT function rather than posting back-to-back within minutes of your previous post!

The Pokémon TCG World Championships are an invitation-only event, meaning that only those players who receive an official invite from Pokéon Organized Play will be able to compete for the title of Pokémon World Champion!

The World Championships Invitational structure for inviting North American players is:

* The top player from each of the three age groups (10 & Under, 11-14, 15+) at Pokémon TCG Gym Challenge™ Series events
* The top two players from each age group at Pokémon TCG Regional Championships™ Series events
* The top four players from each age group at the Pokémon TCG National Championships™-Mexico, Canada, and the United States
* At least the top eight players from each age group at the "Last Chance Qualifier" to be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, August 19th, at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center.
* The top four players from each of the three age categories at last year's 2004 World Championships.

In addition to invitations, all invited North American players (except those from the Last Chance Qualifier) will also win travel awards, which include travel and accommodations(hotel) for those players to the World Championships. (Players under the age of 18 will receive an award for themselves and a legal guardian, who must attend for the player to be eligible to participate.)

-The FAQ that 'mom posted.

----
If you fulfill any of the BOLDED requirements, you are awarded an invite(which, as said, includes travel/hotel). That is it, there are NO OTHER WAYS to get into Worlds. You must meet one of the above requirements, that's it.

Meet one of the above, you get in. That's all there is no it. What's so confusing? You win, you're in. You don't, you're not in.

Don't win an invite? you can try to get top 8 at the last chance qualifier, but you have to fly yourself out to worlds. Your mom won't let you do that, so DONT EVEN WORRY ABOUT LCQ. Only worry about the other requirements.

As ryanvergel and I have said repeatedly: NO ONE KNOWS when they will be yet, this tourney season; that info has not be released yet.

Rest assured, as SOON as the info is up I'm sure you'll read about it here on the 'gym...

What are the Regional Championships and the Gym championships? Whats the difference between the two and actual tournies and are there more then 1 in each state per year?

they ARE actual tourneys. they are just tourneys that you can get trips at. people have answered you at least 5 different ways and you keep asking the same question. just read everything said slowly and think about it.

They Are Tournaments But The Difference Between Them, Cities And Other Tournaments Is That You Can Get Trips At Them.

So let me get this straight........If i come in 1st-4th place in Gym Championship, Regionals Championship, or National Championship I get an invite to Worlds and POP pays for my trip or flight there? And to find out when I check the POP website and look for a topic that says Regionals National or Gym championship? And enter and hopefully win?

Can I get a trip to california for winning a national championship , regional championship and a gym championship?

yes, gym challenges you can only win once I believe and same with regionals.

So once again you can only win a free trip and invite to Worlds in anaheim by:

Top 4ing at Nationals

Winning a Gym Challenge

Finishing 1st or 2nd at a regional Championship.

You CAN "help" your way into winnning a trip By:

Winning a state championship that enables you to compete at Nationals with travel dollars. To avoid gas prices.

Yea as long as you didn't win a trip, you can enter as many as you want for more chances to win.
