Why is it that you don't understand that discussing a complaint/concern/idea/comment does not solve anything. A discussion will not solve anything, the only thing that could come of it is to convince your fellow player/fellow poster to see your point of view. There could be a mutual/majority consensus amongst the players of a thread, but it is not your fellow players you need to convince, it is the individuals who run this game, the P!P brass.
Are the P!P brass more likely to work to appease one player or a community of players, do you think? It's always better to raise a public fuss than to quietly submit your humble suggestions in private (though there is nothing stopping someone from doing both). OP has shown itself to be very responsive to concerns posted here. It seems to me that the P!P brass don't ever really come on here and bemoan the fact that so many players are complaining (oh, the horror!). Instead, they seem to respond positively to criticism here and often make significant changes to OP based on what is said here. Take CP for example. It seems there are a few watchdog professors who just can't wait to catch someone whining, but I have no indication that those actually making the decisions have any problem with it. We love to whine, and the more people whining, the more it tends to be heard.
Yes. It has and it does.LOLZ said:do you really think this, a bunch of players just joining the current bandwagon protest really helps?
First of all, there is nothing wrong with the consumers of a company's product offering their criticisms of the company's operation. We want the game to be better; that's why we complain. We're players after all; it benefits us for the game to be better run.LOLZ said:do you really think publicly posting your complaints portrays a positive image for you and the game?
Secondly, I think that a game where those in charge respond to the demands of the player base is a great thing which carries a very positive image.
Woah there, that's a lot of assumptions you're making. Sam T2'd regionals, won a states iirc, and got his invite nowhere near the bubble. His concerns don't have anything to do with bitterness over his performance this season, and it's awfully petty for you to assume that because he's here complaining, he must have performed poorly this season.LOLZ said:Perhaps if you spent less time complaining, moaning, groaning and sharing your unhappiness with the Pokémon community and refocus that energy into commenting more time to preparing yourself and your decks for tournaments, you may find yourself in a situation where you are actually winning and not missing and invite or wiffing top cut.
