Yes or no? I'm going to guess no, because of the coin flip, but the effect is awesome. However, decks run thick lines of supporters anyways, so maybe it is unnecesary.
 
I would also lean more towards nah, but who knows, maybe if someone really needs it...basically a Poke Ball for Supporters.
 
Maybe it's just me, but if I wanted to flip to get a supporter out of my deck then I would just use Victory Medal. Sure you only get the any one card 25% of the time, but it seems more useful incase you don't need a supporter at the time. That and the 50% chance of at least getting some card.
 
They really should print less coinflip cards... quite disappointed about Xtransciever, I was hoping for something like VS Seeker reprint.
 
I dunno why, but i really like this card. Supporter search seems really good to me, especially with junk Arm. Being able to play low counts fo Twins, Seeker, Collector, Juniper, N etc is really nice, and it makes Black belt actually usable.

That's kinda what I was thinking. The last card that could search supporters was Staraptor Lv.X, and people actually tried to use it just for its effect.

Only problem is, people hate flipping coins. Me especially because I always roll opposite of what I want. :nonono:
 
If you're using a trainer-heavy draw engine (or trying to burn through cards), you can run minimal supporters and pull them out as needed. So, I could see someone experimenting with running, both, PokeGear 3.0 and this card in the same deck. This would be someone who also likes PokeBall and Life Herb ...
 
^The difference is that int his format,t here aren't as many Pokemon options as Supporter option. When we had Uxie and Crobat G and Azelf, we had real need for Pokemon over even supporters at many times. Now we have a small bit of hand refresh and basic search, but are often after a Seeker/Juniper/Pont/Copycat/Judge/Collector/Twins and to be N/Cheren/Black Belt. I think Twins is one of the best cases for this card, 50% chance of any 2 cards if you're behind isn't bad at all. Pokegear fails int hat you can look and find a Nice Collector stash whe you want Sage/Juniper speed draw to hit that rare candy or Plus Power.

I for one would play Xtransiever over Pokegear, but a case can be made for both. Much like Reversal vs Circulator now. Both preform decently, neither outpreform eachother 100% of the time.
