Hey guys. Been awhile. I've kinda been hanging back on Pokemon, but regained interest with the new set. After my local prerelease, i decided to make a Raichu deck. It's still in beta phase, but i believe it's a fun semi-competitive deck. It also uses Dugtrio, which is basically the new Donphan. Check it out:

It's basically "Do The Wave" plus Ability Lock. It's very simple as well as budget friendly.
Raichu (XY): The main attacker of the deck. With a full bench (or 4 bench and Hard Charm), Raichu can OHKO the likes of Tornadus, Yveltal, etc. All for a measly 2 :colorless: Energy (DCE). Of course with it's fragility, it is a textbook glass cannon.
Dugtrio (XY): Another low Energy glass cannon. It's another Earthquake user, meaning it hurts your bench, but Hard Charm can help alleviate this. Plus it's typing makes it good against Dark, Lightning, etc.
Skarmory-EX: I'll be honest, this is just a fun tech of one of my favorite Mons and not overly essential to the strategy. However, it does make a good Fairy counter, as I'm sure Fairy.dec will see a torrent of play. It does decent damage and gets rid of Tools. Plus if you're desperate, you could shoot for Tailspin Piledriver. Like I said not essential but decent.
I'm still debating on whether to use Blend or Rainbow Energy. Juniper or Sycamore is redundant since they are literally the same card as per effect. Shauna is PONT minus 1. Skyla is self explanatory. Elesa is a 1-of for a little insurance. 3-3 of Level Ball and Evosoda is ridiculously good with Stage 1 decks such as this. Hard Charms are for Garbs and anything else to not be hit by Earthquake. Muscle Band is a little buff; if nothing else it starts Garbotoxin in a pinch. 2 Escape Rope is my max since Raichu has no retreat cost. Super Rod is needed since most of the Mons are so fragile. Comp Search is there for placeholder reasons; usually unnecessary and thinking of putting in Dowsing Machine or Scramble Switch.
It's not competitive but it's really fun. Feel free to try it.
