This is my own Yanmega Prime tank deck. Hope you like it. All constructive critisism is welcome and strategy is at the bottom.

Pokemon:

2/2-4 Yanmega Prime (SV/LA-TP) (Is triumphant TP?)
4 Sableye (SF)
2-2 Cherrim (SF-AR) The Cherrim with the Pokebody
1-1 Manectric (AR)
2 Chatot (MD)
2 Uxie (LA)

T/S/S:

1 Luxury Ball
2 Pokemon Communication
2 Expert Belt
4 VS Seeker
2 Warp Point
3 Bebe's Search
2 Pokemon Collector
4 Copycat
4 Judge
2 Palmer's Contribution
2 BTS

Energy:

4 Grass
2 Electric
4 Cyclone

Strategy: The strategy is to use judge or copycat every turn so I can attack with no energy requirements. Although I put in some just in case of Dialga G Lv. X. Cyclone Energy is to disrupt and possibly just snipe every turn. VS Seeker to reuse Copycat and Judge. Sableye to help set up. And yeah that's it.

Yanmega? Tank? More like it wanting to be eaten out alive by a single Luxray GL Lv.X. :p

Ok. Thanks for the advice. And now I know Triumphant is TM! LOL! Anyways I'm not adding Giratina Let Loose because you draw your cards first so your opponent could just draw more or less than you. Oh! And I saw your blog card review on Yanmega Prime. It was good and I give you props. I think that I will be taking out 1 VS Seeker and 1 Palmer's for a 1-1 line of Metapod. That really helps at getting rid of Luxray weakness. And against a deck running Vleplume I would just Cyclone him out and snipe until they switch it out.

Ok. Sounds good. I think I'll play-test it a little at the TM prerelease. Can't make my regular league this week so that's the plan.

Yanmega Prime/Sv are realy good cards (won with them the greatest city's in belgium) ! Just add some sunflora hgss for more balance again dialga g/vileplume.

I'm aslo not such a fan from Cherrim, but more from Shaymin lvx (1 from each) with Shaymin UL, but that's just my strategy (everyone play on a other way).
Another great pokémon in this deck is Combee Sf (honey!), combined with 1 vespiqueen sf & 1 vespiqueen ud (against Garchomp C).

And last but not least: Call energy can do magic things in this deck!

Sad but true. Nailed me in top cut at OK states.

Metapod HG/SS can help somewhat. If it gets bright looked out, oh well. More time to hit hard with yanmega. :thumb:

Metapod to get rid of weakness.

Shaymin Lv.X (Thankfulness) for extra tankage.

Why ANY energy? Why not just go all in and focus solely on (a) getting Yanmega up with support (Shaymin Lv.X and Metapod) and (b) equating hand size.

Hand size was what the old Shiftry was all about. Obviously cards like Judge and Copycat get you where you need to be, but what about cards that let you "balance the difference"? Team Rocket's Trickery is great for equating hands. Also on the plus side are Prof Oak's Visit and Interviewer's Questions. Things like Switch, Warp Point, and Stadiums let you reduce your hand size.

I also wouldn't play basic energy but some Cyclones or Rescues are staple.

@deck: Tank is obviously the wrong term considering Luxray, as mentioned before. So, you could play Metapod, especially in this list that runs Manectric which prevents Metapod from being rushed. Or just improve the speed of the deck by cutting them both in favor of consistency.
Dialga shouldn't bother you. If you run into one, just accept the almost-autoloss instead of struggling with how to build a counter list. Focus on the matchups you can win ;D

I suppose Yanmega only can be really good if it takes advantage of the free attacking by being as fast as possible. Try to confine on few techs and to be as consistent as possible. A starter like Sableye is just out of place here imo.
