when you're playing solitaire and don't have a black 6 to go on your red 7 so you can move that red 5 off of a huge stack... so you try to rare candy it.
 
When your son sees you in a shirt that has nothing to do with pokemon, and he says, "Who are you and what have you done with my dad?"
 
you know your addicted to pokemon...

when you have to have all of the pokemon games including the japanese ones.

when you have one of the oldest (and largest) meowth plushies in existence XD

you know your addicted to pokemon when you make eye contact with someone and you walk over to them to do battle.

also when you buy the pokémon ramuné bottles just because it has pokemon on it.
 
When you feel the need to organize your *card sleeves*.

I'm in the middle of putting all my random stacks of cards away (Modified and Unlimited), and a LOT of them are in sleeves from being in decks. At the end of all this, I'll have to go through and make sure my sleeves are all in "like" piles. It's gonna be a PAIN...
 
When you use pokemon related analogies to describe stuff.

For example: A smart car getting into a crash with a hummer would be like a Skitty trying to KO a Dialga G Lv.x with 4 SP metal on it.
 
When you drive from Los Angeles (Where I live) to Seatle for Pokemon Rocks America just to get a legit Deoxys for my Fr/Lg. And I was even on the front page of Pokemon.com for being the person that drove the furthest to get there.
