Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

You'll never believe this, but I finally figured out what was making me glow!

Sounds reasonable that pregnant women "glow" because their metabolism would be fluctuating so much since the woman has to supply for 2 people!

Finally, another theory proved by science. I wonder how long it took to believe that we actually do 'glow'.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

So then it is not because of the radiation?

Dude, WE are the ones radiating. Not by being affected by radiation. =P

What I wonder..... Why do we spend time wondering if we glow when we get nothing good out of learning it and we can't possibly even see ourselves glowing?

The sun is going to go away and we are only going to live on moonlight, so we are going to have to glow to see when it's cloudy.

We glow beacuse ofthe sun. Without the sun would wouldn't have melatonin. Without Melatonin we wouldn't have body heat. Without body heat we would die. :nonono:

The sun is not going to disappear.:thumb:

Did you read the last part?
Since this faint light is linked with the body's metabolism, this finding suggests cameras that can spot the weak emissions could help spot medical conditions, said researcher Hitoshi Okamura, a circadian biologist at Kyoto University in Japan.
"If you can see the glimmer from the body's surface, you could see the whole body condition," said researcher Masaki Kobayashi, a biomedical photonics specialist at the Tohoku Institute of Technology in Sendai, Japan.~~~Article
and what's the evolutionary purpose of glowing? This is 1 hard to answer question on my mind.
I don't really think there is one. It's more like I byproduct.
......which is thought to be a byproduct of biochemical reactions involving free radicals.~~~Article

The Sun is a star. Stars die.

Still, it must have some use. I mean, whatever isn't used, even byproducts, will be evolved out....right?
I don't really think byproducts can be eliminated by evolution. But I certainly don't have much education about this kind of stuff.

What would your body do with all the wastes after processing food?

process it in feces and urine. Your body is also capable of chemically handling stuff. But that's only when you are very healthy, something that's not really availble in a world where people try to sell poison as food.
