Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Yugioh

yeah I used to my best one is "Booka the Great Warrior from his Mother's Planet"
;x yeah, me and penguinmaster made that guy up :p Anyways, I did use to play, but I think their rarity system is weird...no uncommons, but they have "Rares", "Super Rares", "Ultra Rares", and "Secret Rares"...lotsa rares. Plus, I dont like the fact that the only good cards are really hard to get -_-

Well, after you think of a good strategy, then they are good. Its like that for any card...

I have been considering getting some Yu-Gi-Oh cards to make a deck, but I dont have enough money to start a collection yet.

yeah! Like all those utterly useless 100/100 no effect card! Totally! -___-

I defy you to make a competetive, um, ah let's say a Chess Demon deck (or whatever they're called in english). That's not even the hardest thing I can have you do to prove your "any card is useful if you use it right" idea...

I played Yu Gi Oh. Myy problem with it is that no strategy works except using good cards. Putting good cards in your deck makes it better: not using good combos.

Yeh, Yugioh Decks are expensive because all the same magic and trap cards which go for a lot of money are in everyoens deck. Then you get the really powerful monsters which cost a ton. Pokemon the cards are cheap to buy and are reasonably cheap to make decks.

Konami "fixed" that by hitting all the strongest cards with the ban hammer. This still doesn't change the fact that the metagame is damaged beyond repair. The only way to "repair" the game would be to either ban and restrict cards by the truckload, or else just re-start the game. Either of which would be suicide.

Long as a select few key cards get the axe next season, I can see Yugioh's metagame recovering... slowly.

The secondary problem which needs fixing, BADLY, is the players.

American Yugioh players are senselessly resistant to change - so much so that UDE had to negotiate a dual format plan with Konami's execs.

Players need to start EMBRACING the change, and looking away from the boring strategy that has dominated since IoC's release...

We did the first 3 sets of YGO. I think or possibly 4. BEWD is not 100% 1st ed. but the others are. Plus the McDonald's promo set and a few other promos. Then i smartened up. Why spend $$$$$ for one set of YGO when i can spend $$$ for 3 sets of Pokémon. Plus my wallet needed a break. So i stopped buying YGO. Have not bought a pack since then. Which for me is quite remarkable - me not buying a pack of cards. :D
