2009 US Nationals

Not to be rude, or step in where I don't belong, but I think it'd be better not to request standings, as we've kind of been told that it's too busy to do it right now. I mean, hopefully we'll get standing soon, but I think the judges, PTOs, etc. are already doing enough without the added stress of standings requests.

Just a thought, though.

^Even then, there's a top 64 cut >.> I wouldn't drop period, or ATLEAST wait until I had 4 losses.

He must have really had a death wish for his opponent, by dropping after Round 1, he has effectively put quite a dent in his OWP.
 
.. because 0-2 may mean no chance at worlds other than the grinder?

..because the metagame is against his deck?

..because he thought of something else to do?
 
He did well at States and he won Florida Regionals. That means he of course has a very high rating, and dropping after 0-1 means he will get his invite.
 
The bottom line is that it was his decision, y'know? Not to be rude but I don't think it's really right to criticize anyone for their choices in a tournament, if you don't have a vested interest in it.

probably wont get standings. (recent change in how tournaments are run)
might get match records.

anyone got a digital camera to take a photo of the pairings?

Downtown is totally abandoned except for Pokemon people, so I'm not surprised nothing is open.
