First!

Checking them out now

Edit: Gengar Lv X will officially be the most annoying card in the TCG.

I can see people donking with the combination of Kabutops and Aerodactyl.

Spiritomb looks pretty annoying.

Salamence Lv X looks very good to me.

i <3 toxicroak =) attach a multi and either fighting/psy an your hitting 60+poison, kinda like toxicroak G 'cept it doesn't die VS. other G decks. the only good SP pokemon in this set is zapdos.. pory-G seems uselful, but only when all 4 energy gain's are gone. and that doesn't happen much.

I'm happy to see some interesting tool cards! Too bad they will most likely be outshadowed by Unown G until it is rotated out.

Stage 2s get more blessings. Salamence/Charizard/Gengar is pretty cool.

Bye, bye SP, barely any in the set. Maybe next set will be different. I hope so.

Gengar Lv.X is sick
Tangrowth Lv.X will finally make the deck viable in a format where fire at least is there
New cool Tool cards
Not a lot of SP Pokemon
Spiritomb is cool

There is a lot of interesting stuff in this set...hmm

FYI the new tool cards can be attached to pokemon even with tools attached, so it will see alot of play, especially those benched X's *Flygon X is definitely going down in value*

And SP decks will still be around for awhile, just because their isn't many new ones doesn't make improving Luxape and the various other SP decks that much of a challenge.

All in all I think it's a wonderful set, it's also nice to see an actually USEFUL kabutops, might not be top tier but looks pretty damn fun <3

Except Gengar, no one thought he needed a lvl X, that Pokepower may be too good, but only time will tell how things play out.

No, the rule is still there, it is just hidden in the text with these translations.

Lucky Egg Text:

"When the Pokemon this card is attached to is Knocked Out by an opponent’s attack and discarded, draw cards from your deck until you have 7 cards in your hand. To use a Pokemon Tool, attach it to one of your Pokemon. 'It can’t be attached to a Pokemon that already has a Pokemon Tool attached to it'."

I wish that was true, the tool thing, as they might actually see some use. Maybe Japan is preparing for a PT-on format.

I think Gengar (including the old one)/Salamence might be an interesting play. Spread with Gengar, de-level, etc. and then bring up Salamence, level up, and overrun. Four prizes in one turn.

All in all, this looks like it will be my second favorite set of all time, my first being Delta Species.

Whoops my bad, skimmed too fast and read wrong, your right.

Too bad, I guess your right then, the bench guard one might still be nice and I'm sure someone will work out a deck with Mismagius better with all these new tools.

Somehow, I knew Gengar LV. X would synergize with the new Gengar more than the old one, and I was right. It looks like it will work better with the new one with the power more than the SF one.

I LOVE THIS SET <3<3<3
FINALLY we get rid of those pesky SP BS, finally Stage2 Decks are back, finally its not just about locking anymore and we havent even seen the trainers...
Spritiomb just spits in the face of every sp deck <3 I love this set :D

Curse will never be better then fainting spell hax and forcing your oppenent to get rid of all triners in hand, 2 is bad enough.

How exactly will Gengar SF take advantage of Damage Pain? It doesn't spread, it snipes. So Damage Pain would be better to use with something that spreads, which would be the newer Gengar. I never said it was better than Gengar SF, just that the LV. X works better with it.

And Pokemon Contest Hall with Expert Belt FTW

I cant want for Gengar X to come out. I like all the tools but with unown G around they wont see much play. Salamence looks good. Kabutops, Omastar, Aerodactyl looks interesting with its swarming capibilities. I think Dialga G will make a big comeback when this set comes out with all the stage 2s, Gengar decks, and getting by rapidash. Cherrim seems nice and could combo with the other one.

I don't see Expert Belt being played if the pokemon gives 2 prizes when it is ko'd. Maybe if decks run Mismagius to lift the tool up before the Pokemon gets ko'd.

Think of Expert belt in decks that already run SSU like Beedrill. I fear a 130 HP Bee that can swing for 140 and be scooped up.
