Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Most Broken Card released in the last 2 years

Hey lets all ban good cards that have a lot of potential.

Seriously, you people will just cry at everything. I find Babby and Rogue are the only people itt who actually make any sense. They aren't going to ban a card just because you find it 'broken'.

You know what was broken? Kingdra. Was it banned? No.

All of the whining you people will do doesn't make any difference to PoP. Their job is just to translate the card, make rulings, and print it.

But guess what I'll be playing this Regionals? That's right, Lost World, Gengar Prime, Plume.

And guess what'll be banned? Nothing. Stop it, and live with the fact that cards are printed that you don't like.

4. Lost World might be coming out in the next set Triumphant this card is a stadium that says if your opponent has 6 or more cards in the lost zone declare yourself the winner....uhhh mhm and like tons of pokemon in the next set and few now send things to the lost zone and you only need 6...uhhh BROKEN! Sure there are ways around it and if your deck is inpokemonly fast like SP you probaly wont have to worry.

Lost World - Stadium
Each player may, during his or her turn, end the game and declare himself or herself the winner if the opponent has 6 or more Pokemon cards in his or her Lost Zone.
You can only play 1 Stadium card next to your Active Pokemon during your turn. If a Stadium with a different name comes into play, discard this card.

It definitely says 6 pokemon cards.

all i have to say is deafen. cause dialga is gonna make a bigger play. it prevents the stadium from coming into play. for those who say 10 damage a turn isnt enough, may i introduce you to expert belt and crobat g. 30 damage with a deafen along with potentially playing other cards to fit your play style. it only takes a few turns to get rid of gengar prime at that point. 3-4 deafens. and as you know you dont have to deafen the whole game, just the point in whhich you noticed there are about 3-4 pokemon in your lost zone. at that point you wiull deafen every turn. to prevent it from happening.

all i know is that gengar prime is good, but its definately not auto win everything.

Clearly Cyrus' Conspiracy.

Without it, any deck running a central SP engine completely falls apart. DialgaChomp, LuxChomp, etc. etc. are no longer anywhere near as viable. When Lost World comes out, we'll see how it affects the metagame and make a decision based on that.

A 4-4 Donphan Prime with nothing else but T/S/S and a couple Uxies says hi to Gengar Prime, but since no one will play that, it could break the game. Anything right now is pure speculation.

I stumbled into this thread out of curiosity.

First post pretty much says that SP is more broken than Justin Bieber's voice hitting puberty.

That was extremely predictable. :nonono:

Definitely Poketurn. It's been in decks that aren't even primarily SP. Also has been in the last two Worlds winning decks and last two US National winning decks. It's not even close, if you ask me.

LOL @ people saying Gengar Prime is going to be banned. Deck is far from broken, can't wait to watch it fail to live up to expectations like most Pokegym hyped decks.

This, so many times over. I also see that Genplume isn't doing so hot at the br's, guess that wasn't the death of sp either...

I love Pokegym for this post.

@Sabett: It's doing better than I expected it to do!! It actually is top cutting! And it won in some pla- wait, that's Canada, they're all screwy.

I also see that Genplume isn't doing so hot at the br's, guess that wasn't the death of sp either...

Something is starting to put a choke hold on it though. It isn't absolutely dominating and sweeping like it has been for the last couple of years now...

I have to be honest.

The only thing I have against SP is that everyone seems to be playing it and nothing else. Like everyone else has been saying, SP isn't everything, and as tough as a LuxChomp is, it doesn't auto-win all decks. Actually, it dosn't auto-win MOST decks. My Sunflora-style Jumpluff sweeps half the Luxchomp/dialgachomp at my league. Although that could be attributed to the fact that Genplume players are growing here as an anti SP.

Btw, Genplume ruled BRs where I live.

Also, about Gengar prime, I share Scizor' sentiments. I honestly don't see anything good about the card. Yes, it deprives setups by making your pokemon unusable. But otherwise, admit it, how many pokemon can your hand contain anyway? People will find a way of playing without leaving any pokemon in their hands, just as they can work around the current SF gengar, and even trainer locks. And Gengar's other attack is just meh. Besides, how many psychic energy would you want to attach to it, anyway? Think of the survivability rate.

IMO Machamp prime and especially magnezone prime will see far more play than gengar prime. Multiple Machamp primes with either nioqueen or blissey turns it into a tank, while magnezone prime is a claydol substitute with an excellent attack to boot, using upper and DCE. Hell, even a cubone tank might perform better.

On topic, IMO the most broken card is DCE. Yes, the humble energy card. I believe no LuxChomp player would disagree.

Wah, wah, wah I want gengar banned. What's wrong with you people. I didn't here this crap when lux x came out. Just because your 2-300.00 deck will suck because the came out with better cards. I think you people should be banned from playing the game. Maybe that will shut you up:)

SUCK!? You think Luxchomp will SUCK? Hahahaha.

It'll still be one of the best decks out there.

Did Empoleon suck when GG was dominant? No.

I hope you get banned, then we won't here trash about Luxchomp and that it'll 'suck'

Luxchomp can be countered. Be creative.

You clearly hate Luxchomp.

Stop trolling. Seriously.

Poké Turn by itself is not broken, nor is Power Spray, Cyrus, Garchomp Lv.X or whatever. It's the sum of the whole SP engine that makes it broken, in the true sense of the word. SP breaks almost every single rule of the game, it like playing while having completely different game rules than your opponent. That's what makes it broken.

However, just like Plox two years ago, SP has its weaknesses. These decks are not completely dominating Battle Roads, at least in Germany, Gengar/Vileplume and Charizard did very well, too. A Triumphant set without Lost World would solve the problem in my opionion. Cards like Machamp Prime or Nidoking help to beat Luxchomp, Magnezone Prime prevents hand disruption while beeing strong enough to not be sniped by Garchomp, Hunter adds a Poké-Turn-like option to non-SP decks and finally, Twins give slower decks a huge boost.

But with Lost World in the format, all the decks that would be able to beat SP were killed by Gengar. The viable deck besides Gengar and SP I could think of in that format is Tyranitar.

On topic, IMO the most broken card is DCE. Yes, the humble energy card. I believe no LuxChomp player would disagree.
DCE is not broken and very well adapted to the GS-sets. The problem is the "generation overlapping" in the current format. Garchomp C wasn't designed to get a card like DCE, just like Double Rainbow Energy wasn't designed to be attached to something like Gardevoir SW.

dreamdemon doesn't know what he's talking about. LOL @ his keyboard warrior outburst.

The people playing Luxchomp now will just switch to the new BDIF (if/when it comes along) because they like to be competitive, leaving the same scrub players whining about a whole new set of broken cards.

Mario: again wah wah wah.

Also, I don't hate luxchomp. I play luxchomp. All I'm saying is that when it's rotated out and gengar prime is still playable, what are you going to say then? Thank you. I rest my case.

LOL . . . is that all you've got? No actual argument or anything like that? (Big surprise).

You're not even making sense. I don't see any Luxchomp players whining in this thread. I do see someone without a clue digging themselves a deeper and deeper hole with every badly misjudged post.

I'd laugh, but it's so sad that I would feel guilty.

Anyway on topic (remember that?) I don't honestly think that any card is actually 'broken'. Just because a card is very powerful, doesn't mean that it ruins the format.
