Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Werewolf XIII: Ascension of the Packmaster (ENDGAME: See Post 812)

He was on last night...

With the lack of support for him (even from him), he's gotta either be an independent or a wolf and the other wolves don't want to stick their necks out to defend him.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. QwaChansey was a townie who wasn't in a group, and DP and Fire_Spin weren't either. I'd say that not everyone is in a group, but most people are. Not saying that he shouldn't die, just don't jump to conclusions, just look at where it got me...

I never said that you were in a mason group with the Packmaster (and I don't think anyone else did either.)

What I was trying to get at was that the number of people is "evened out" by the fact that the Kingmaker and Packmaster probably are "solo" roles. Especially now that Waynegg has noted that he is part of a "pair," I think that it is valid to say that the theory is pretty well confirmed.

Anyway, I think that:

VOTE: d master432

Is a good move at the moment.

Oh ok, just confirming your thoughts then.

Now is the time for us to strike.

Humans are truly remarkable creatures, with each generation we find new ways to cause death and kill others.

A few things before I announce the lynch and make the kill.

@ Priest: I know you are out there. Statistically, there is another player out there who can protect people. Go back to my earlier post, I want you to keep the wolves on their toes, choose one of the following people for protection tonight.

--Myself (or for that matter the current King of any day) this depends on your judgment and the result of this lynch. I may or may not be a target depending solely on d master’s role.
--Anyone you BELEIVE will be the next King: If the wolves sense a pattern in who will become king, they may start going after that person, so the KM should NOT be telling us who the King will be the next day.
--Waynegg: He’s definitely a target, I don’t need to tell everyone why.
--SS7: I have a funny feeling he’s up there on the hit list. He’s a strong player, and if the wolves have anyone experienced on their team, he is in danger for simply being SS7.

Priest, if you have your own ideas, and feel your judgment is better, then by all means use it, I’m not here to control you. However I believe the above 4 people are in the most danger.

With that being said

Current vote talley:
Lakak: 1
Waynegg: 1

LYNCH: d master432

The town now turned on d master, not waiting to here her retorts. Screaming, they attempted to overtake her, but failed as she cast a spell and teleported herself away. However, in her haste, she only teleported herself to the other edge of the village mob. With very little spell power remaining, the King's own Sorcoress was lynched by the Town, leaving them without a lead adviser in the village...
------------------------------

8. Sorceress Adviser (d master342): You are the only adviser to escape the attack on the Throne Room. Why? You cast a Dispelling Field powerful enough to repel any of the invading Wolves. However, that spell has short-circuited your own powers to protect yourself and left you with only one way to protect yourself: preventing others from acting during the night.

Each night, you will PM me the name of one player still in the game. That player will not be able to use any role or item that game night. If you target a Wolf, the Wolves will then have a 25% chance of not killing their target.

WIN CONDITION: Town Wins.
----------------------------

The Sorceress’s mage-bonds with the surrounding land leeched into the air, plunging the Town into the darkest night in ages. Villagers were able to find their way back to their houses, but a few brave souls ventured into the Night to do what they must to protect or prey on the Village.

BEGIN NIGHT 3!!!!

ROLES DUE THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28th, 11:59 pm EST!!!!!

WHY SO LATE, CARDZ?

bumping for a good cause

Reasons for post being late:

1) Quarterlies at my school were this week, so that meant lots of grading and inputting grades. Blargh...

2) At least one role got in past the deadline and I decided to wait for it.

3) Its Halloween weekend as well as Prerelease weekend, meaning I'm booked for parties and events this weekend.

4) I don't want to gyp you guys with a shoddy update.

That said, all roles are in and I'll try and post something up on Sunday after I get in from choir (around 9-10 pmish). Until then, enjoy the relaxing sounds of a Rube Goldberg Machine...

Why? Because Rube Goldberg is AWESOME!!!

The night was brisk with movement and nervous twitches. While many remained in their abodes, prepping for the next day of voting and work, others got to their nightly jobs. Those who ventured through the dusty stalls and halls of the town came away, bags full of things to use while other used their tracking and meditations skills to successfully spy.

Another player sat in his study polishing his guns. He took down his father's shotgun and began to muse of the fine detailing that was now starting to take on a bit of rust. Picking up a polishing rag and some oil, he sat down to silently work on the stains. That was, until the Werewolves rushed in. Sensing his life in danger, he turned the gun on the Wolves.

BANG!

A miss...

BANG!

A near hit, grazing a Wolf's arms...

BANG! BANG!

Now they were all running through the room, at him. There was no time left for Sandslash7 as the Wolves devoured him. The Town's Hunterwould never have his full revenge now...
-----------------------------

6. Village Hunter (Sandslash7): You are the Town Hunter, charged with keeping the cursed Wolves from entering and integrating the Town. You decided to go to sleep a bit early this past Holy Day, and because of it the Werewolves integrated themselves into the fabric of the Town. They even killed your two children. Grief- and Madness-stricken, you are now on the warpath to revenge.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

WIN CONDITION: Town Wins.
--------------------------------------

The Werewolves dragged the rest of Sandslash's body out the door to store for later eating. A large, red stained followed them out the door and into the woods. This was the same red stain the Kingmaker would find later that night as he came to king Sandslash. The Kingmaker barely pushed the door open before he was overwhelemed by the scent of fresh death. Seeing some of his clothes were left, he gathered them and put them in his bag to create a memorial for this fallen soldier in the Town square. On his way to create the memorial, he dropped the crown and scepter off at his second choice's house.

The next day, Time For Pain came to the town square and cried over the pile of rags in front of a tombstone at the cemetery. He had scene the blood on his new crown and scepter and knew a new memorial had been made to honor the dead. As he left, he noted that something glimmered in the pile of tattered pants and shirt. He must tell the town of this.

Newly appointed King, Time For Pain addressed the masses.

“Citizens, Sandslash is now gone and, while he was an excellent Hunter, not even he could escape the ferocity of these Wolves. We must renew the work he deemed necessary and kill one of these murderers. I have seen that the Kingmaker has left one of the Hunter's most prized Revolver's at his memorial. Any who would pick up the object may post in topic, “I PICK UP THE REVOLVER”. One of the people who post as such in the next twenty-four hours will have a chance to get the weapon. Otherwise, please guide me to a sucessful killing today!”

BEGIN DAY 4!!!

Votes Due:
Saturday, November 6th 11:59 PM EST.

ALSO:

LAKAK

You are receiving a public warning for breaking Rule 4A), which reads as follows:

4a) You CAN NOT talk to other people in the game through PMs, IMs, email, etc. There are some roles that allow this, but on the whole, no should be doing this. If I am told that someone has broken this rule, it most likely result in an AUTOMATIC MODKILL!

You chose to PM Absoltrainer during the past Game Night. Since this was a fairly short and easy to understand PM, I will choose to post it here in topic for everyone to see and do with as they choose. Should you do something else to break ANY of the rules, YOU WILL BE MODKILLED.

Below is a transcript and link to LAKAK's pm to Absoltrainer:

I pick up the Revolver

And I'm really tired right now, I just woke up aft er a bad night's sleep. Expect my summary of the night later today, after College.

I PICK UP THE REVOLVER

That being said we lost another townie and because of that I am king (original choice was sandslash7)

So guys, what is everyone thinking for today?

Several things I, and I'm sure others would like explained to hopefully help guide us to a decent lynch today:

1. Pokemon99, who hasn't posted at all since 10-3-10, there was this statement posted very early in the game and NO ONE even bothered to ask where he was coming from. It's post #207:

they probably just realized that Ikrit was a good player.

Priest, I think that Diaz is a likely target if Ikrit was killed for the reason that I believe. I am 85% sure that he is a townie, because of my role.
There is basically no info to go on today, and I'll be away from monday to friday.
I'll read this thread on Saturday when I get back

~P99

Bold statement there, 'because of my role'. Everyone seemingly just accepted this without a moment's pause. This came shortly after the first night update when almost nothing was known about anybody. If his role is a Seer of some sort he really needs to be more involved. The only other role that could have any certainty to who is a townie is a wolf. Either way, pokemon99, we need to hear from you.

2. I maintain my suspicions on smacktack15. I obviously allowed myself to be distracted a bit the last game day and this Azure Kite post was never properly explained away. It's post #147:

Seriously Smacktack? Seriously? I JUST FREAKING SAID WATCH YOURSELF. Think before you post. Are you REALLY going to role reveal not one, but THREE people because one of them was mentioned in a post? Lakak voted to 'shoot' me. You don't see me role revealing just so no one will jump on a bandwagon with Lakak. (right, like that would happen, I know)

While not happy with Smacktack, it's going to come down to lynching a non-veteran player (can't take chances that big this early in the game) who has made a wrong move or been inactive or SOMETHING. I still don't think it's necessary to lynch Smacktack, though one more move like that and I don't know what I'd think.

Honestly, I'd like to agree with Ikrit's idea about Jason, but I can't say I'd have a legitimate argument myself. Other opinions?

Why, smacktack15, is Azure Kite so forcefully and passionately trying to save your hide. We KNOW he was a wolf and you have really side stepped this one with a version of 'I'm newb and don't know what I'm doing; no need to pay attention to me because I'm a bad player'. That doesn't cut it. I ask a direct question, we ALL need a direct answer that makes clear, logical sense.

3. Lucario EX. I'm back to you and it isn't for what you have said, but rather what you haven't. As a result, I don't have a handy dandy quote for you. You've been moderately active which is your norm, but where in past games (I skimmed over some) you have had some insightful and helpful posts everything you have posted this game has been unsubstantial and non committal. You also seem to be much easier to go with the flow than before and all that has been being lynched is townspeople.

4. Diaz- I am truly on the fence with you still. I don't really want you to role reveal or anything, but a lot of what you have said as Kayle pointed out here seems to be very self serving with little help for the town. It's post #389:

There has got to be some way for you to convey this information without sounding so suspicious. We're hardly even halfway through the day; there's plenty of time still to decide, and I don't think we've spent an unreasonable amount of time discussing you at all. It does sound a bit like you are trying to deflect conversation from yourself while you have a chance (and it also sounds a bit like Pikamaster is also trying to deflect conversation, without sounding suspicious).

I wouldn't mind turning the discussion topic over to Smacktack though.

I point that out because I'm not the only one who is leery of you. And to be fair you asked a question I never answered. There are examples where a wolf, depending on his exact role, could do [that].

Having said all of this, I'm not outright pointing a finger at anyone. Just saying there are some questions which really need to be answered DIRECTLY without beating around the bush. Too much hedging just leaves the town in a fog through the day. Wolves have 20/20 vision at night...

And before anyone asks- yes DMaster was obviously a bad call and I accept full responsibility on that one. The king just lynched who we voted for, nothing more nothing less. In defense of my decision however, DMaster was a bit suspicious. I watched her (I assume, correct me if I'm wrong) activity from the point where I levied the accusation. She was online several times and I was eagerly awaiting a rebuttal, which could very well have changed at least my vote, and which never came. She had ample opportunity to speak out and so did anyone else who had reason to believe her a bad vote. I also think that if we look back at some of those who were quick to jump on that bandwagon we may be able to find other things to question.

Those are my thought TFP.

I pick up the Revolver

Don't have any comments for now. The only thing I have to say is that we have got to get the wolves to slip up. And of course, the best way to do that is to get plenty of good discussion going. So lets try to get as much as possible this game day.

i pick up the revolver

Wayne, I am leaving for a dentist appointment in 20 minutes, but I will post a message for you and everyone either later today, or tomorrow. Probably tomorrow

Looking forward to hearing some discussion about Diaz and Smack, but I'm beginning to wonder about Waynegg; people were suspicious of SS7, and the wolves could've used that suspicion to their advantage if they'd left him alive. Instead, someone else must have been helping them even more than SS7 was - and seeing as how Waynegg managed to pick such a great lynch target (no hate), well. . .

I wonder if a different approach is needed. Not going to outright say (or even think) that Waynegg is a wolf yet, but apparently the wolves like him so far.

Hey, let's not forget about ShinyGyarados. If we're going to talk about inactive people we should at least bring his name up. Also, I believe that one of Smacktack's group is a wolf. Why? Because every other group that we've seen so far has had two people, but Smack's has three.

So it looks like we have a handful of night role people. Maybe two people who have some sort of night role, then a detective AND a seer.
