LostGar Hype Discussion - IN HERE ONLY

I have now played against this deck, twice, and it seems fairly consistent. Especially, if you're not OHKO'ing their Gengars each turn in some way, shape, or form. (Sadly, I wasn't and lost horribly. >_>) He only ran 2 Lost Worlds, though, one of which was prized. Funnily enough I'd yet to take a prize and, upon realizing he'd L-zoned 6, refused to do so, making his Twins useless. I still attacked each turn, though, and played out my turns readily.

My advice is to run 3+ of your key cards. Had this been a timed and sanctioned match, it very well could have ended up with me taking a prize ftw right before the bell rang.

And dont forget that TM Devoluter is needed in LostGar because that is the auto win condition against Gyarados.

I'm confused how this will work because your devoluter is your attack. Won't they just evolve their magikarp again next turn, into Gyrados?

LostGar is a really big hype, I don't care how many people will disagree with me. Lostgar beats some decks, but it loses to some decks out there just like any other deck would. So don't just go out saying, "Haha, I automatically win just because I can win with seeker and lost world." It's just really annoying. You know Sablelock is coming out to disrupt the fudge out of you.

its called azelf lv x... and it is really annoying when someone says sableock will auto win to lost gar.... and i have tested lost gar... havnt lost yet against all top decks including sp and vilegar

There is no point in the lux as lux is for dragging up things to knock out.

I've been testing w/ LostGar v. LuxChomp mainly and I've found that as long as LostGar doesn't go on an energy shortage it easily wins. It's only in beta testing right now and i'm playing it w/ a modified "turbo engine" so i can get a t1 setup. I've kind of decided that i prolly won't beat trainer lock even if i tech for it(vilegar specifically) but i still am considering Blaze FB X for DGX/Dialga G. I find that the best way to run it is just fast and consistent. IDK if i'll play it but it can beat luxchomp.

Oh well, I guess they will just have to let Azelf sit there for the whole match and be constantly frustrated by Gengar's awesome lack of Weakness!

Whoa whoa .. No need for insulting. I'll admit that sabelye is a good deck. So is lost gar. and true that sabelye has good match up against lost gar. But in my opinion lost gar has the potential to beat sabelye and every other deck as well... So does sabelye

Let's end this now. Gengar prime is a gimmick deck that will only be played because of hype. The ones who build it consistently and test will be the ones to make it to the top tables, although they will find trouble when they autoloss to Dialgachomp.

Besides, deep down in the thick of this Hyped-up Rant is some solid information that is almost certainly helping people out with their decks. What if this very thread is the deciding factor on whether someone out there breaks the bank for a set of Gengar Prime?
