Grass has a lot of GREAT supporting cards. If it only had a decent attacker, it would be an extremely fun type to play.

Unless I'm mistaken 40 for a DCE damage isn't very good in this format.

I find doing 110 for :psychic::psychic: with no drawbacks a scary prospect.

I assume you are referring to Goth doing 110 (30+40+40) for 2 energy. She cant attack without 3 energy though... so I would still argue that with less than 3 energy, Mewtwo is the optimal choice. In an ideal world, you could fuse the two together to have...

2-2-2 Gardy
3 Mewtwo Ex
3-2-3 Goth
2 Jirachi UL
1 Shaymin UL

Tank Torterra haha

I think what Stormfront was saying is that when you attach two energy to Gothitelle it becomes four energy which lets gothitelle do her attack to do a grand total of 110 damage. Gardevoir's ability is pretty much Wild Growth for Psychic Types.

What kinda surprises me is that those cards are all kinda, fair. Im still waiting for the usual catastrophe card =_=
I remember looking through scans, thinking "well this set is kinda ok" and suddenly, catcher.

Thats true. I was thinking more of actual energy attached vs the sceptile body.

hmm musharna with uxie lvX power and pretty easy to get out, combine it with pokedex/research record and we have a decent way to get the new fossils out finally

Meinshao might be useful for pulling Evolite in decks that rely on getting them.

Although I'm also kind of curious what Gardnivior will do to Gothitelle decks. It's main weakness before was the fact that active Goth had a hard time attacking. Now that it does 110 for 2 Psychic, that's been taken away. Toss a Jirachi or two and a Shaymin in and you can easily do 190 damage on turn 2, while keeping trainer lock on.

Another thing I REALLY like about this set is that it feels like the creators just went "You know what? That's throw in EVERYONE!". We got Mewtwo, legendary birds, Regigas, Shaymin, Kyurem, Shiny Pokemon, and a ton of other random popular Pokemon. I can't help but love the concept of Mewtwo, Shaymin, and Kyogre deciding to have a no-holds deathmatch against Kyurem, Regigas, and Groudon.

Which seems a little excessive

I think with 3 energy doing a consistent 150 is more desirable. That way you can build up backup Goth and not toss all your eggs in one basket..

Musharna is the new Uxie Lv.X! Although, it can't attack like good ol' Uxie Lv.X could. Aw well it's better then HGSS Noctowl I guess.
~Cyber~

this is crazy but imma use starmie while i charge up kyurem and kyogre ex....i think it could work somehow.....

A lot of people seem to be worrying about power creep but I suppose it lets the creators try to make almost everything powerful in it's own right (or at least interesting). Full-Art EX's look great, I can't wait to try to grab 4 of each of those.

Really disapointed about Moltres and Articuno getting sub-par attacks it was still kinda cool that they got cards. I could see uses for Moltres as a Donphan tech for fire decks, he could work as a 1 of tech, a reliable burn could come in handy, especially on a basic with all the basic support this format.

A new Uxie Lv.X is really neat but check that retreat cost and horrible attack. You better be packing switch if you play that bad boy. A lot of these cards look like they could play a role in future winning decks which is exactly what you want to see when a new set comes out.
