Again w/ the condescending "serious player" crap.
Stop insulting players who borrow cards at events.
Releasing top-notch cards in tins is good for the entire game (players, tpci, etc.).
How is it good for the entire game?

... so your definition of a serious player is someone who buys the most expensive cards? :nonono:This is what I wanted to say but couldn't find the words to actually type. It's pretty unfair to the serious players.:nonono:

I'm sorry I can't afford to spend my life savings on Pokémon cards. But I am as serious about this game as anyone else.

Point of message: Don't say it is good for everyone.
Like I and others have said...it makes the best cards available to more players, not just those who can afford them. How in the world is that a bad thing?
Plus tpci will make a ton of money off of these tins.
that is what is good for the game, diversity...
I can agree with this. But you (general you) can't say it is unfair to SO CALLED SERIOUS PLAYERS either. No one forces anyone to buy cards at inflated prices. People choose to do that.
Being a serious player means playing to win. See: http://www.sirlin.net/ptw
Part of being a serious players is acquiring whatever cards you need to build whatever you think gives you the best shot at winning. By definition, serious players are forced to get the cards they need for big events.
You don't have to buy them
I wonder how well DEX boosters would sell if everyone knew that the best cards in the set were coming out in tins very shortly after the boosters and before all the big events?
Thank you.

It would be the same feeling as you buying a 3DS today and next week they announce a new model with a built-in HDD and two actual thumbsticks and comes is a sweet design and costs less. You'd be pissed.
That comparison really doesn't work. It is going to be the same card, it will do the same thing (just at a cheaper cost to get). Unless they get changed to do double the damage for less of an attack cost. Then it would get my attention like you suggest.
