Mewtwo, Darkrai, Rayqauza EX ALL to be tin Promos in Fall

It kind of angers me that these OP cards are going to be so cheap. I know it is better for people on a budget and I think everyone will benefit from it though. Oh well, I got a good run out of my mewtwo ex. Now we can expect more mewtwo decks.

Yep. I'm dumb. I did buy one box, 8 from a Prerelease, 12 from a good deal of of TnT for like 3 bucks a piece, some other odd packs from odd places, and 36 from States winnings, which yes, I didn't buy.

What I'm saying is I don't have the cash anymore. Spent a bunch on Next Destinies, when I realized I could just buy some Mewtwo, because every other card from that set is largely useless.

Still not a "competitive" player I guess. Sorry to disappoint you guys.

So you spent money on 96 booster packs, which comes to almost $300 in you consider $3 per pack which is cheap, but 'you don't have the cash?'. Seems to me more like you're not a smart buyer and like to whine alot.

Love the Pokemon fansites drama.
Maybe he's already spent most of his cash on those packs...?

Unless its just a single card you need from the whole box buying a box of a new set should not be a bad decision. If it is then there is something very wrong with the set.

The thing to also realize is just because good cards become widely accessible is that people don't necessarily know how to play them effectively. If good cards come out in tins all it serves to do is narrow the "haves" and "have nots" margin in good players. Don't get me wrong I'm the type that if I need something to play I will get it. However I do know people that either don't have time for leagues and do their testing online and are stuck shelling out for a new release each set. If someone is able to get a Darkrai EX for 20 instead of 50 you have no one to blame but your fellow players. If as players we didn't let Darkrai (or anything else for that matter)get as hyped as he is you could buy him for 20. There is no real reason why people should be offended that a card is rereleased at cheaper value. All I can say is "U Mad Bro" for spending 50$ on a card that got rereleased? (Again assuming it happens)

Maybe he's already spent most of his cash on those packs...?

Well thank you for stating the obvious...? My point is he spent that much money on packs, instead of buying the cards he actually needed. And if you can spare $300 for packs, I highly doubt you're in a bad financial position.

Some things just happened, so yeah, I'm not in a very good financial situation anymore. It's looking like I'm not going to be able to go to Nationals.

Anyway, I've realized my mistakes. I could have just bought 3 Mewtwo. But at the time, I thought that at least a good number of the cards from Next Destinies were playable. I was wrong.

I asked earlier, but it seems that nobody's going to comment further on the situation one way or the other.
if you don't see something announced on an official site (not one claiming to be an official site, not one claiming to be friends with the official site, not one who's uncle totally knows a guy that knows a guy) you're dealing with a healthy dose of speculation, unofficial wording, guesses, and sensationalism.

Fall 2012 EX Tins: Yes.

This was confirmed to me by a second source prior to the reveal by PokeCollection. Wish I could say more, but images should be coming within the next two months to finally reaffirm this.

I am laughing my butt off at whoever thought spending all that money for a card was a good idea XD

I can afford it, I just choose to save and put the money twards other things

Then you make your choice and other people make theirs. Maybe yours is as laughable to them as theirs is to you.

Besides, what if they can afford Darkrais AND the other stuff you buy as well?

How is it that people don't think PokeCollection looks to be totally discredited after ExoByte's post?

Consider a potential situation at tPCI. This information gets leaked, they have a few possible reactions which include:

1) Being deeply concerned that someone in house is giving out this information
2) Jumping onto the 'gym in order to try and discredit someone who has factual information before they should

These two possibilities aren't mutually exclusive. The first one solves the problem in the long run. The second one damages PokeCollection's credibility in the short run, but if they had good information, ExoByte looks bad from the date of the tin release forward. While he hasn't said these won't be the tins, disavowing this connection (use whatever terms you like to try and be technical here) is a signal to us that PokeCollection can't be regarded as reliable. Like he said, why would they announce it to PokeCollection before putting it on their own website?

In the end, the images of the packs from the next set tell me one thing: PokeCollection has at least some reliable information. Nobody can argue that those packs aren't going to be from the next set. They aren't photoshoped. For me, if that part of the information is true, then there is a very decent chance the other part of the information is true.

What was Exobyte supposed to say?

If he confirms the releases, he goes against the most likely 'Non-disclosure agreement' that is set up within the company. If he says the items are fake, and the items do get released, it makes him look bad. The only logical route he has is to apply reasonable doubt without saying for sure if the items are fake or real.

Something that Exobyte said was true, though. You can't trust everything you hear on the internet. If a site claims to be 'in partnership' with TPCi, you have to take it with a grain of salt, with a fair layer of doubt, unless TPCi states it themselves.

Regardless of whether PokeCollection is in partnership with TPCi, I believe the packs to be 100% real and I believe the rest of PokeCollection's information to be based in the realm of truth. Perhaps the tins won't be called "Dragon Tins", per Exobyte's comment about Darkrai and Mewtwo not being dragons, but I do think it's likely they will be in tins this fall. Each card represents (one of) the best card in the set it originates from, and would be a great way to represent a tin based on a set. Instead of random packs from other sets, the tins could have packs just from that set. So, the Darkrai EX tin (speculation here) would come with just Dark Explorer packs. Thus, some bit of truth to the story.
