While we don't really comment on rumors, this site is claiming all these official connections and partnerships. I'd hope most of you would realize that:

  1. We likely wouldn't give a new set announcement to a random Youtube site before we announce it on our own site.
  2. Mewtwo is not a Dragon.
  3. There is exactly 1 "fan" site with any kind of official affiliation w/ us. You're looking at it.

So, again, I won't comment on any of the rumors (next post: "Hey Exo, so what cards are in the tins?"), but it is important to note that this fansite/Youtube channel has no official partnership, etc. with us for announcing news.

I got stopped at probably 3 tournaments recently asking me why Enhanced Hammer's text got changed. Again, a fansite mistranslated the card and everyone took it as truth.

I know this is futile, but I'll put it out there once more: if you don't see something announced on an official site (not one claiming to be an official site, not one claiming to be friends with the official site, not one who's uncle totally knows a guy that knows a guy) you're dealing with a healthy dose of speculation, unofficial wording, guesses, and sensationalism.

Let the collective freaking out begin.

Sounds more like a broken embargo to me. Why would the site give us real information (in the form of the set name and booster art) and then make up the information regarding the fall tins? Seems kinda odd to me.

I will suppress my joy for the time being, but something still smells fishy.

Since I'm more or less the middle-man here, I'll try to let those that are confused talk about this to eachother, but here are some clarifications. First, the embargo for the theme deck images was supposedly extended, so "the next few days" may be a while. Second, the "partnership" should probably be better referenced as a connection. Finally, the "dragon tins" term was used by said contact to describe the tins, but it would be more correctly referenced as the Fall 2012 tins. EDIT: Similarly, PokeCollection never said they were the EX versions of the cards.

Those are a few clarifications that Asad mentioned to me, but else, I'll let the two of you talk this out personally.

My baaaaad. We try our best with translations, but sometimes there's errors or typos. :p

However, we don't claim or try to insinuate that we're official, unlike PokeCollection. The guy who runs PokeCollection has told me over PM about his partnership with you guys (TPCi) and Nintendo and has apparently even talked about this partnership over Australian radio (I wonder if that's how he got interviewed in the first place; he certainly claims all over the place that he has a partnership with you guys). Seems like something that should be looked into.

And to try to keep this view neutral to TPCi, Asad has many times told me that you've bugged him for non-watermarked versions of his reveals via Banter, and now that he put the "exclusives will stay exclusives" rule in place, you deleted him from Facebook. Asad has never proclaimed that they're official, merely that the channel has been in collaborations with these companies.

I could mention other things, but that could then theoretically be construed as a personal attack, so I will stop here in order to abide by The Rules.

I asked him the very first time for non-watermarked versions, that was the ONLY time, and he obliged. This was before he claimed there was any sort of partnership with TPCi - I figured he had just gotten them from the distributor with permission. After this last time, I thought something was up with him and deleted him from my personal Facebook (which honestly is none of your business). Get your story straight if you're going to post on someone else's behalf, or get them to come here themselves. :) I also don't see how your points related to me serve any sort of relevance to this topic, or how as a third party you can claim to have any sort of insight on what us two have talked about.

Well, right now, I'm not sure whose story is correct, if either.

And the information is applicable, as it helps one try to reason the argument by seeing any possible bias.

Though yes, the previous instance was from Banter.

My "story" doesn't add much to the topic, so I don't even see why it matters, or why you have to drag me into this. You brought in totally irrelevant (and flawed) information.

Point is, as Exobyte stated in his original post, this guy is going around claiming to have a partnership (or "collaboration," to use your words) with TPCi AND Nintendo. He's stamped it all over his announcements and images. He's also been involved in a lot of partnerships with other companies in Australia and has even been interviewed on the radio about Pokemon, so it makes you wonder what's going on behind the scenes (if anything - I'm not claiming there is, just wondering). I personally thought TPCi was feeding him this stuff directly and thought they were using him as an official outlet because of what he was stating to all his Facebook and YouTube followers (iwassooffendedbcilovetpcithemostandhavesupportedthemsince2003grrbutwhatevesinceialsomakethemmadattimessotheirhateofmeisunderstandablepsiluvyouguystrulyandhonestly). Claiming to be an official representative of a company is really bad and is why fan sites always put those "we are a fan site and not affiliated with X and X and X."

Uh...

Well, that's just awful. No Darkrai for me then. Guess I won't be winning any tournaments.

Looks like I'm stuck playing Durant for yet another season.

I don't understand why people just give up like this. There's lots of way to get Darkrai, especially if you're a competitive enough player to go to tournaments. Darkrai also isn't even the best deck so far. It's good, but hardly proven to be the best.

I understand that everyone likes a good deal, but relying on cards to be given to you, rather than buying packs or trading for them like everyone else, seems to be just asking for disappointment.

they could always go to the trade thread and see if they have anything people (I) want...... (hint hint I have one to trade)

I don't have the cash. I also have just awful luck opening packs as of late (96 Next Destinies, no Mewtwos, mostly Kyurems).

I try. I really do. No one at my league is competitive in any sense of the word save for a select few, and they don't have the cards I need/refuse to trade them. I used to trade online, but I got scammed. Maybe I'll try that again.

I will potentially be addressing a lot of skewed comments in a forthcoming video, as I don't wish to compromise my examination study by continually responding to individual comments over time. This is with regards to WPM mainly.

I'll have you know that a few of the things that Immewnity has said are paraphrased and not indicative of what I've have entirely said, nor exactly at that. I have expressed that I did not wish for him to speak on my behalf except to only let you know that:
- I mentioned nothing about EXs, this was just pure speculation after the release of 'Dragons Exalted' images.
- The Dragon Tins were worded as per the email sent to me, hence I referred to it in this way subsequently. This does not necessarily suggest they will be 'Dragon Tins', and instead may just be labelled as 'Fall 2012 Legendary/Dragon EX Tins', or something along the lines.
- I had no intention of breaking any embargo maliciously, as I've worked with plenty of embargoes before and continue to do so. My connection at TPCi already knows this, and already responded with the fact that they are happy with the positive feedback.
- I was to be receiving the artwork to the decks yesterday, but due to miscommunication, these will be sent at a later date.
- I am no 'Partner', I am 'sponsored' and as such there is an element of affiliation, with associated promotion, merchandising, and marketing. This is mainly with regards to suppliers down under, and the only ever 'affiliated' resource I've received from TPCi pertains to Dragons Exalted/Tins. Nothing more. Keeping in mind that I only got in touch with them directly since April. No sooner than that. Prior to that, everything came from my association with Banter Toys & Collectibles and still does in major part.

My words to WPM at this very moment are to tread very carefully with your wordings and accusations. You've used the word 'Partnership(s)' far too often for my liking, when it's something I haven't mentioned in that way. There's also many more branches of Nintendo which don't just exist in America, and my only connection outside of Australasia is my aforementioned connection at TPCi (keyword: connection, and not 'official partner'). I use the word 'official' when I'm releasing official news from the respective dedicated sources and isn't to be mistaken for 'official medium', even though I am receiving/unveiling 'official' news.

Lastly, my radio interview was to do with marketing and promotion of Pokemon The Movie: Black & White down under! This was an interview that was set up by Magna Home Entertainment (the official supplier of the anime down under), and Hoyts Cinemas (the distributor of the movie down under), and Banter (the official distributor of the cards down under). I also gave out many double movie passes to the event, which I was provided directly through these associations, and these were given away particularly through my channel and peripherals. I don't know why you are skewing a video (originally posted on February 12th) which I re-posted yesterday, when in fact I was not in touch with TPCi until April! And even before then I was releasing exclusives through Banter and my affiliation with them. A lot of this movie promotion occured around early February and my YouTube videos more than prove this. I also have reliable contacts at these companies and I am more than confident that they can vouch for our association with them, enthusiasm on promoting an awesome franchise, and the professionalism that we publicly exhibit. This is a reason why your words have now struck a nerve and I can no longer ignore such false/incorrect comments.

To ExoByte: I appreciate your response. I wish to pleasantly discuss a lot of this issue with you further if you are keen to, as I believe there's definitely been a lot of miscommunication. Also, because you do work at TPCi, though I am at no liberty to share (and subsequently am reluctant due to confidentiality, and making sure I work in the best interests of TPCi), I suppose I would have no problem in sharing my email correspondence with [what I presume to be] a colleague of yours, whom you may know/do work with. I know this colleague through my affiliation with a company down under and have been in touch with him directly since April, as mentioned above. There's a lot in that correspondence which echoes anything but malicious behaviour, but I don't wish to distribute this to the public and out of respect for TPCi and my connection. This also means that I won't be addressing this email directly in the aforementioned video I plan to release at some point in due course.

I'm not one to act unprofessionally and I ensured that I was working towards TPCi's best interests, as I have done for many of our associated companies in Australasia. However, I admit that after seeing your post, I was a bit astonished. I presume that you may not be aware of the situation, unless there's something else occuring, and as such, I wish to address some heavily skewed comments which I can no longer accept looking at. I will explain further to you shortly and privately, if you would allow me to :)

'PokeCollection' is by no means aiming to mislead people, nor disrespect any of our affiliates/associations/sponsors, and most definitely we will never be pleased with ourselves if we were to lie to our followers. I cannot emphasise how genuinely surprised I am by some comments, particularly when we literally did not have any malicious intention. I hope that you can respect this, and I've already expressed this with my connection at TPCi, and also our friends at Banter.

While I can't find where you said it on your Facebook page now, you say in this YouTube video: "Brought to you by PokeCollection in exclusive and official association with The Pokemon Company International, Banter Toys & Collectibles, & Nintendo." In my defense, I think that wording would lead anyone to believe you have an official partnership with TPCi.

You are right, and unfortunately that is a mistake on my part, particularly when I was trying to get it finished, and yet trying to not rush it all the same! I wanted to emphasise that the information came from an 'official' source, and that source is indeed reliable, and consequently I mentioned TPCi/Nintendo. Banter Toys is, hands down, a company I've been association with for quite some time so there's no debating that at all, but the wording was better written in our 'Video Information' section, below our videos, and has been for quite some time across many more uploads.

Hence, reiterating, 'partnership' is definitely not correct and that was a slip up on our part with regards to the wording, but I did indeed receive information from a direct source at TPCi and that is all I will/can say.
