I was hoping for a better thundarus EX, it's first attack is ok if you are using it in a plasma deck. second attack is bad only 90 damage for 4 energy and you have to have a plasma energy attached to it. Deoxys EX looks like a fun card because it has the posability to be a great mewtwo EX counter and it has the bonus effect of adding 10 damage to your plasma pokemon's attacks to the active. out of eevee's evolutions glacion and umbrion are my faves because of their abilitys. if anyone sees a possibility for thundarus EX to be a good card please tell me why because i would like to use it.

Those cards are not from Plasma Storm (as far as we know). They are from the next Japanese set, Spiral Force/Thunder Knuckle.

Jolteon, I assume, was made to put Lugia EX into a situation where he needs to discard special energy cards to retreat.

Flareon can OHKO Cobalion EX. It also gets Flare Blitz, despite the unwritten rule that Flareon can't get it.

vaperon seems to have been created specifically for killing Ho-oh EX (and maybe victini). Is he really popular enough to need this?

What the heck's the point of Espeon?

Umbreon puts the others out of OHKO range.

Glaceon is retreat aid, which is nice.

Leafeon exists specifically to punish Keldeo for existing.

In summary, they REALLY want us to build a 6 Corners-style deck around these. Except Espeon. They could have come up with something far better for him.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking about having Deoxys, Umbrion, and Glacion in a deck together with Plasma Frigate. what do you think?

What the heck's the point of Espeon?

Snipe. If you've got Vileplume out, Jolteon's doing 160 to Tornadus or Lugia, and Espeon can finish them off on the bench (so you don't waste a Catcher). Hand refresh for sticky situations, I guess. I do wish they hadn't said not to apply Weakness, but you can't have everything, right?

If your translation is correct then Thundrus EX will be necessary to get Plasma energy out of the discard pile for Lugia EX to reuse.

Now that you mention it it never said anything about basic energy... I will be using this card with lugia Ex when it comes out.

You can use recycle to grab the plasma energies...

In all honesty I'm just flat out dissapointed. I thought that they would make good eeveelutions and these cards are just plain horrible. I see only Umbreon seeing play as a tech for plasma decks. I'm just hoping that Lugia EX doesn't turn into the only viable plasma deck because it seems to have so much promise. At least the engine looks strong.

Forget relying on the unreliable Recycle, just use Shadow triad Supporter and grab your Plasma Energy back. It's easily searchable by Metagross, then you can just go PLASMAAAAAAAAAAAAA! and take 2-3 prizes with Lugia (I still think the best thing about him is the ability to take cheap prizes)

You can plasma badge a trainer, right?

But yeah, thanks for the correction! I need to keep the cards straight in my head better!

Nope. You can only use Plasma Badge on Pokemon. It would make no sense to do it on a Trainer because they don't stay on the field.

I think 1 or 2 Deoxys EX should be included in a Vileplume/Plasma Eeveelutions deck.
It gives most 40 damage attacks that extra 10 damage to push out OHKOs, such as Espeon OHKOing a Mewtwo EX for example.

Definitely going to look a lot more into these cards and a Vileplume toolbox when they come around in our May(ish) set.

If your translation is correct then Thundrus EX will be necessary to get Plasma energy out of the discard pile for Lugia EX to reuse.

Will it?

Lugia EX needs to discard one Plasma Energy when it attacks. If it is used carefully, its only attacking something it can KO, and players will be cautious about leaving Plasma Energy in play between turns. Plus, the "something it OHKOs" will generally be Pokémon EX if they present themselves. This means the four Plasma Energy allowed will often be sufficient.

Shadow Triad covers you when your opponent is fortunate and you don't have a full four available.

He was making a sarcastic joke at his own expense, in light of his former mistake : ).

Oh, and I'm extremely excited for that Umbreon! 20 HP makes such a huge difference in this format... And presumably the Plasma format as well.
