Triple H vs Brock Lesnar ... if Triple H loses, he will retire... How many times has he retired..?
There is a possible "swerve" that is going to happen in the Shields vs Orton/Sheamus/Big Show. I will not say what it is because it will ruin the match for some people.
Swerve is logical; unlike what happen to this week Raw.
And I don't think I've ever been less excited to see a Y2J match. They're basically having one of the best performers in the company job for a nobody with a terrible gimmick in a match that probably won't even make the PPV. Jericho is a Main Event type of performer. I would have really like to see another triple threat IC match with him, Miz, and Barrett. That would at least be interesting...
No one is saying he's going to job to Fandango. I think this match will be very interesting and entertaining. I'm loving the buildup and Curtis is actually pulling off the gimmick to perfection. He's earning a ton of heat and he's even getting the fans behind Jericho even more if that's possible. When Jericho ran down the ramp on Raw and took it to Fandango the crowd was going absolutely nuts.
You're expecting Jericho to win that match? Really?
I didn't say that. I mean it could go either way but the reason he keeps coming back is put over younger talent. I really commend him for it and he's doing the right thing.
If it's a 5-10 minute match, it's jobbing.
If it's a match like the Punk/Jericho match from earlier this year, then it's putting over the younger guy.
Considering that this match is probably taking place during the Preshow, I think it'll be closer to a Job than Putting Him Over.
Apparently Vince is not happy that neither Swagger or Del Rio has gotten over with the crowd; Swagger as a heel and Del Rio as a face. Thus, he hates the current story line involving those two, but he realizes it is too late to change it.
Del Rio should show off more of his Lucha Libre style moves to energize the crowd.
Del Rio's finisher should be that step-up Enzuigiri, and he should basically be a 6-5 version of Ray Mysterio or what Sin Cara is supposed to be. I like him when he's doing Lucha Libre, and I like him when he's being that sunova what that wears down the arm for the arm bar. I hate him being a "5 Moves of Doom" guy. And Swagger is just terrible in every possible way. He's not a good wrestler, he's using a style that is clearly not his own, and his gimmick is probably the most embarrassing thing that the WWE has ever done. I can't wait for him to go away and for ADR to start up that rivalry with Big Show again. That was a FUN rivalry, much as I dislike Show.
With all of the matches already planned for WM, I just can't see room for the Jericho/Fandango match to actually make the PPV. Here's what you've got that absolutely has to be on the PPV...
Cena/Rock
HHH/Lesnar
ADR/Swag
Faces/Shield
Hell No / Ziggy
Ryback/Henry
These two are potential Preshow matches
Barrett/Miz (maybe)
Funk/Scholars
I'd rather see Barrett/Miz make the PPV than Jericho/Fandango. And Cesaro still needs to be booked for the event, which will definitely be on the Preshow.
As far as Show/ADR, I just enjoy watching angry Show, and the duck tape was inspired. The rest of it was largely forgettable.
Swagger's entrance music is the best part about him. He looks stiffer than Randy Orton in the ring, he's using a style that he clearly doesn't like or is suited for, and his gimmick is the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen the WWE do. I don't remember any of his matches, not one, they were that forgettable. Plus I seriously don't understand what the heck he's doing on the stage when he walks down to the ring. I will be quite glad when he loses and the gimmick is retired.
I'm real surprize that Kaitlin is not defending her title to anyone... esp to one of the bellas.
My reasoning for Swagger is the same as my reasoning for my indifference towards 3MB when they were getting their push: he's boring, he's embarrassing, he's a bad copycat, and he should be gone in 3 months.
And we both managed to forget about the Taker/Punk match, which, as long as Calloway is at least in SOME sort of wrestling condition, will go 15+ minutes. Where does that fit into the show?
Also, there's always a 3-5 minute vignette between each match. Gives them time to reset the ring and get the guys gone.
And there's still gonna be a Divas Championship match, which has to fit in somewhere. Plus Cesaro. Jericho/Fandango should NOT be in the PPV. Not over the Barrett match, at the very least.
A good heel is supposed to make you want to watch them so that you can find new ways to hate them. HHH was a spectacular heel. Punk might be the best heel in the last decade and a half. ADR was a very, very good heel. So was the Miz, botchey mic work aside (and, IMO, his personality/character is still more heel-ish than face-ish).
Swagger is boring and unwatchable. When he hits the screen, my first reaction is to find the remote control. Richard Castle is far more interesting than Jack Swagger, even though I've seen all of the episodes. Twice. He's not getting good heat, just like ADR isn't getting good pops. Just look a few posts above yours; Vinny Mac is upset that the angle isn't getting over. Personally, I'm hoping that ADR turns heel again. He was far more interesting as a heel than a face.
