Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

$1 rare cards?

Youtube is an AWFUL place to sell.
Unless you have subscribers, it won't work. Trust me.

Anywho, I suggest staying clear of Japanese holos unless from older sets. Newer ones sell very cheap.

Should I buy a japanese booster box?
Perhaps a japanese gym box or neo gen?

Only if I can make profit somehow?

I'm working on getting more subscribers.
Been like 2 years or so since I made my last vid.

Any other tips?

Anyone know who has the best 1st ed cards?
Both mint and in lots?

Dont care what set or even if it's non holo.

If I can get some stock in that than I can use that to help sell along other items.

What about sealed promo and other items.
Wheres the best place to go?

I had a friend who did the 50 C/UC and 1 "Ultra Rare" aka at the time $1 Meganiums, and he made SO MUCH MONEY!

Was he one of those people who is constantly clogging up eBay listings with "random" auctions that have pictures of 100 different ultra rares? -_-

Would getting a Japanese neo box for $300 be considered a good investment to resell?

Just what is the going rate for lugia because I know that's the card that will make or break the return.

There is a get rich quick scheme... but it involves a lot of luck... LOL

It's not really much of a scheme if you're betting on a lottery ticket lol

Same thing with stocks.. if you had bet on Apple when it had launched, you'd be rich right now.

Honestly, the only cards I see going up in price drastically over the last few years are very collectible and hard to find card (1st edition Charizard, almost any gold star, etc). Rayquaza star went from being like a $30 card 3 years ago to being $150 today.

But... like I've been saying... these things require time.

Ok well thanks for all the advice.
Curious but any other tips/advice to raise up money using youtube.
This is more like using youtube to get more money (not the partnership thing) i mean from people.

Also what is your predictions for NXD FA cards?
Would those end up being like Rayquaza or Firered/leaf green charizard in a few years from now?

I might have missed that post. Don't remember seeing that.

On a side note. I was wondering is it legal to do lottery on youtube?

Ie offer a $10 item and people pay $1 for each chance to win.

I'm sure it exist but what is the law in regards to that.

Because if 100 people do that then that's a $90 profit.

I think i seen someone do that but not sure if it's right to do or legal.

Just been curious how that stands with people.

Just like to know the pros and cons on what people do and why they do it.

If I was on the other end, I won't put in a dollar... It's like trying to win a really low budget lottery

It's against youtube's code of conduct.
I believe it has to be free.

People go around by allowing people to send in freebies.
However if you don't have the subscriber base like I'm trying to tell you, it will fail.

Thus... if it were easy everyone would be rich + it takes time and patience (and knowledge!) to make money.

Easiest way to make money off of Pokemon is to buy bulk lots on eBay. You can find hundreds of different lots at any given time, and just sift through the pictures and bid accordingly. Obviously you will need to take the time to learn how much certain cards are worth (and what to look for), but there is definitely money to be made. I have been doing this for the last 6 months, and have made some considerable profit off of it.

As Swordfish/Trader keep trying to tell you, there is no "get rich quick" scheme when it comes to Pokemon (albeit scamming, which is disgusting and immoral), it takes time and effort in order to see real gross turnaround. Youtube is a terrible place to sell, 'nuff said. Smgquest has been trying to sell on Youtube for the past few months, and has had very marginal success. I don't know about anyone else, but when I go to YT, I am not looking to buy anything, I am looking to watch some videos.

Buying bulk lots on eBay is probably the most sure-fire way of making any profit. Bulk rares are going to be a waste of time, but holos can be worth it. Buying boxes at the release of a set is gambling, and from what I have found has very minimal success and very small profits (if any).

I know this is a forum and all, but it would help us, and yourself, out if you did some research before investing or asking questions. Simply thinking of an idea and asking "If I do this, will I make profit?", or "If I buy this, can I sell everything for more?" Steady profit is not made by those who simply ask questions, it is made by those who do research and understand their trade.

Just my two cents
